According to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT): ✅India’s festive retail sales hit an all-time high of Rs 6.05 lakh crore this year. This is a 25% increase over last year’s Diwali sales of around Rs 4.25 lakh crore. ✅Of the total, about Rs 5.40 lakh crore was spent on goods and Rs 65,000 crore on services, making it the biggest Diwali business in India’s trading history. ✅Importantly, this #Swadeshi Diwali saw an overwhelming preference for Made-in-India products – roughly 87% of customers chose Indian-made goods over imports. ✅Beyond the revenue figures, what is heartening is the positive sentiment and optimism in the market. Trader surveys showed confidence at a decade high, with the Trader Confidence Index at 8.6/10 and the Consumer Confidence Index at 8.4/10. ✅The e-commerce space recorded a 24% year-on-year growth in volumes while gross merchandise value (sales) posted an increase of 23%. What do these numbers tell us? They tell us that our economic policies – including the recent GST rate rationalization - is having a meaningful impact. In fact, about 72% of traders surveyed by CAIT credited the GST rate cuts on items like daily-use products, footwear, home decor and consumer durables as a key factor driving the higher sales this year. So, the #GSTBachatUtsav which was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi was indeed a ‘Double Diwali’. - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman. #NextGenGST

If you do anything today, please listen to this 3-min clip on what Co-CEO Joseph Chalom refers to as The ETH Opportunity... FYI, Joe is the former Head of Digital Assets Strategy at BlackRock, who drove the creation of IBIT, ETHA, and BUIDL. "The more assets and transactions that are secured on the Ethereum network, have been proven to increase the value of ETH..." "If you look at the last 5 years, for each $2 secured on the network, on Ethereum and the L2s, it's driven about $1 of market cap value of Ethereum [ETH]..." "And if you take a step back and say stablecoins are at this size today, but Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says it's gonna grow to a trillion over the next 3 years, if you look at the adoption of RWAs, which is in the first inning and can literally go j-curve, the value of tokenized assets which could be measured in the trillions or tens of trillions... they are gonna be secured by a decentralized network. We believe the vast majority is gonna be Ethereum. That is a bull case for ETH..." "If more assets are secured on the Ethereum network, the value of ETH will go up, and the value of it being a trust commodity, the highest value of money, is gonna be critically important if you believe we are at a paradigm shift, and that's what I call the ETH opportunity. It's not a trade, it's an ETH opportunity." "And for all of those who feel like they missed the early days of crypto, you are at still a very early entry point in the adoption of Ethereum and that is the long term ETH opportunity, not the ETH trade." For BSNL, our government has provided three revival packages totalling ₹3.22 lakh crore. We have dealt with the burden of oil bonds, addressed the “Fragile Five” economy, and undertaken bank restructuring and recapitalization. These were not small amounts but those of ₹3 lakh crore - ₹4 lakh crore, and now even fertiliser subsidies. Wherever there were weaknesses in the economy, they were left unaddressed earlier, and we are now paying for all of it. Yet, we are being questioned about GDP growth and fiscal deficit. The reality is that we are clearing the liabilities left behind. On spectrum allocation, after our government came to power, spectrum in bands such as 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2500 MHz and 3300 MHz has been provided to BSNL at auction-determined prices for 4G and 5G services. On BSNL, I must respectfully say that every criticism made against it is incorrect. If anything, BSNL was pushed into a critical condition earlier. It was in the ICU, and we have revived it and brought it back on track. The Union Cabinet has approved revival packages for BSNL. The capital infusion between 2022 and 2023 stands at ₹2.26 lakh crore. This includes spectrum allocation, capital expenditure on infrastructure, AGR dues, and restructuring of the PSU. The Make in India mandate for BSNL is a strength, not a restriction. There is no restriction on BSNL. In fact, under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, BSNL has placed an order for 1 lakh indigenously developed 4G sites for pan-India deployment. As of 28th February 2026, 97,906 sites have been installed with 4G equipment, out of which 96,103 are already operational. Additionally, the BharatNet Programme is strengthening BSNL further. An amount of ₹1.39 lakh crore has been approved to extend optical fibre connectivity to all villages across the country. - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman in Rajya Sabha

📌 Pi Network & GCV – The Global Consensus Value 1. What is GCV? GCV (Global Consensus Value) is the price level that the global Pi Network community agrees to adopt when exchanging goods and services using Pi. This is not a value dictated by exchanges, but rather a community-driven value built on collective trust and demand. 2. How it differs from free market prices Exchange Price: Fluctuates according to supply and demand, often influenced by speculation. GCV: Stable, designed to protect real users’ value and avoid manipulation by “whales.” If the traditional crypto market is like a turbulent ocean, GCV acts as a safe harbor where transactions are grounded in trust and mutual agreement. 3. Why is GCV important for Pi? Protects labor value: Every Pi mined represents time and effort invested by its user. Builds a stable economic foundation: Makes it easier for businesses and individuals to price products and services. Encourages commercial adoption: Stable pricing motivates merchants to accept Pi without fear of volatility. 4. Real-world application of GCV Many Pi communities around the world (including Vietnam) already use GCV in Pi markets and trading groups. For example: 1 Pi = 314.159 VND (a symbolic number linked to the mathematical π). Some groups use 1 Pi = 100 USD for high-value goods. The key point: this price is community-agreed, not exchange-listed. 5. Challenges & Prospects Challenges: If GCV is set too high compared to market prices, it can create a gap and reduce liquidity. Prospects: Widespread adoption of GCV could make it the “reference price” for Pi commerce, building a trust-based, decentralized economy. 💡 Conclusion: Pi Network is taking a different path from most crypto projects – instead of fully relying on volatile market prices, it trusts in value created by the community. GCV serves as the “compass,” guiding Pi away from excessive fluctuations and towards building an early, stable economy. If the community continues to uphold this consensus and use GCV in real-world transactions, Pi could potentially become the first stable digital currency driven by global consensus.
