I am an indie dev working on an anatomy pose reference app for artists. - Create custom poses - Customize the lighting - Switch between various anatomy models Would you use this for drawing? It is call HAELE 3D - Pose Studio Max.

Switch between realistic human and simplified body models. Explore the skeletal and muscular systems. Use props and edit the lighting. Wishlist it here:

If i need to buy it, fine. But there better not be a monthly subscription with different levels. People can hardly afford to live as it is and every other art program like this thinks it can afford to charge 50 a month for a niche idea

It is going to be a one time payment app without any kind of subscriptions

@AmbroseBoaBowie make it a monthly subscription so you can keep improving and updating it as long as you can. it’s a great app

@AmbroseBoaBowie I will go with one time payment :)

@aliisahx doing the Lords work 👍

My life would be yours ige, this looks incredible

Thank you! :)

"the indie game joe effect" this is really cool btw!

🙏 IndieToolJoe as well from now on :)

This is something that certainly has my attention. Has a lot of potential. I'm constantly web searching for poses and references, so I would use this. As long as it's not too complicated or a big memory hog on a computer.

I find it to be the easiest among poser apps that I have tried

Please let us load in custom models too

This would be so nice, but I don't really think it will work. Will give it a try though

I mean, not a must but maybe dmth later doen the line? I still think this is a really cool project.

how does it feel to be artist jesus

just hoping not to get nailed

I'm a realistic figurative sculptor. I did use a program many years ago called Poser....or something like that. It was very helpful, but getting used to the interface and posing the digital figure took some time. Also when you move the figure it doesn't always move correctly, the muscles and joints did not accurately reflect what really happens anatomically. Fortunately I have a life size medical grade skeleton model and a medical grade ecorche model. I printed out various angles and used that as reference and the sculpture turned out really well. But then I got live models in my studio and went that direction. Depending on the ease of use and price I might consider it, but then again I've been using AI lately to generate 2d images.

I think it's very easy to use with a short learning curve. It also has a quite good corrective bone system that helps to keep muscle deformation

I'm concerned that when the model is moved in one area, I don't believe I see any impact whatsoever on other muscle groups? Am I wrong? This is WILDLY important for a tool intended to be a reference for anatomy or you're just giving them a mesh deformation.

They are skinned models with a lot of corrective bones

Skinned models being that they have bones that supinate and pronate in the arms, then with simulated muscles that react to the movement applied to them? If that's what's under the skin in this, that sounds awesome. But I don't see that here, unless I'm mistaken.

I want it to be an awesome tool and some of what's here is great! But the muscles need to move dynamically based on posing for this to be an anatomy reference. Not trying to give you a hard time, please understand.

I'm just curious if that's in there because I hope you understand if the arm raises and the pecs don't move to adjust with that, that would be worse than a person just having a folder of image reference. This applies to all muscle movement, tendons, and things of the like.

Photographed reference images will be superior to this if you find the exact angle, pose, lighting , character etc., but if you don't find them this is going to be a pretty good alternative in my opinion, but it is not a substitute for learning anatomy.

I get what you mean! Having useful pose reference is handy. Just to try to get a direct answer, is there sympathetic muscle movement as the user poses characters? If I move the arm, do the pecs/shoulder move to mimic how human anatomy works? Do the forearm bones supinate, etc?

this is interesting and cool but also daz3d exists and is a free program for mac and pc

I think it is easier to pose in this than Daz, plus it has a lot of built in models and realtime lighting and a ton of presets.

nice thanks for explaining the key differences, will have to give it a try 🤟

Oh wow! This would be incredibly useful!

This is dope! Thanks for sharing. I love the 3D direction AI is taking things. 👏🏽

This app has nothing to do with ai

Is all the decent models going to be behind a paywall

It is a one time purchase app, all you see in the trailer is going to be included

looks super promising. But i’ve noticed, with almost every of 3D model posing app, there’s always a lot of distortion when the joints bend or move (ex. shoulders moving up or knees bending). has there been any focus on this? I always find it’s a problem for me, -

I doubt this will get seen but- is it possible to import models from video games, to use it for specific references for fanart? Like, how xyz character with REALLY intricate designs (SE, Hoyo) would look in abc pose?

I don't think import will work :( but your post was seen :)

Understandable! It would have been nice to beable to practice specific armor sets from Xiv, but either way, this would be a boon just for anatomy practice alone Thanks for answering!! 💚

Will you be able to export to blender?

@cafurccino Different species, colors, body types, so much, and you said NO ai?! Holy shit...

i hope you manage to make this available for mac/apple devices in general. this is awesome

I hope too, will def give it a try

this feels like a silly question, but there's no generative ai, right? im sorry, ive grown so paranoid in this day and age... but id really love to support this when it fully comes out!!

It has nothing to do with ai

awesome!! thank you, im so sorry for this question, this looks really really amazing!!!

No worries, thank you!

Will there be a mobile version for ipad or android

It don't think it would/could work well on mobile

Hell yes this looks awesome, where can i get it and how much is it?

It is still in development, but it is going to be available on Steam. Help me decide the price here:

@SydusArts2 :3

Is it compatible with Mac?

I will try to port it!

I’ll definitely use it when you do!

Honestly I’d just use this to make 3D renders. Plenty of artistry in framing, lighting, posing, etc

I need it!! please be compatible with Mac 😭🙏🏼

I will try to port it!

PLEASE SPEED I NEED THIS

crazy... looks incredibly cool

@polihet_1 Thank you! :)

You’ve already got a customer here 👋🏾

Tremendo proyecto de aplicación, en lo personal si me gustaría usarla, se ve que es una excelente por sus diversas opciones. Aún sigue en desarrollo?

Thank you, it is still in development, it is going to be available on Steam

Would we be able to use this on Mac OS?

whoa does it work on ipad too?

I don't think so, but I will try Mac

Thank you for making this💕

@BadMustard_AVN I feel like you’d dig this
