I am having such a blast making a Factorio styled game with Claude Fable 5! Making sprites is so much better, and the designs are detailed and I would consider this to be a turning point in Ai game dev, you can really make a game now with AI....

This weekend I explored making another game prototype. I grew up playing simulation games like Game Dev Studio and Dungeon Village, so I thought it would be fun to make an MMO dev studio game, where you are the developer building a fledgling MMO for players to play in. I got it to a point where you have. tech tree where you can earn XP and unlock some buildings, NPCs and mobs, enough for me to test the core game loop, but somehow I still feel like it's missing something. I might revisit this in the future, but it was fun being able to explore making a game in a genre I haven't really tried before.

I’m in disbelief right now. 12 months ago I remember making flappy bird with AI in 2-3 prompts and being blown away. Now it can make a call of duty game. One that’s actually fun… I played for like 2 hours today and in between matches I would have GPT 6 make changes… I genuinely think gaming will be the mass onboarding to AI. It’s just too much fun at this fidelity.

Claude Fable 5 is insane again. I just finished building the lobby map for my game, set inside a satellite military base on the Moon. Players can control their fighter jet, fly around the base, talk to NPCs, and receive missions before jumping into combat... And yeah, I still haven’t touched a single line of code. Everything was generated by AI. I just described what I wanted. This thing started as a simple game idea… Now it’s slowly turning into a full game. 🫠

Fable 5.1 is an absolute beast for game dev. I took my Opus 5 space game and told Fable to "just make it look better". It overhauled everything with a TON of detail, AND made it 2x faster 🤯 Code: Demo: Every pixel you see is made by AI. Fable modeled everything in Blender, generated textures with code, and in a few cases ran image models via CLI. In mere months we'll be vibe-coding AAA graphics at this rate. Just insane. Of course, Fable recorded and edited this comparison video too (with a little help from Opus at the end, because of the Fable outage)

I built a complete Souls-like game level, a boss and a player character in 72 hours. Disclaimer before anyone asks: no "one-shot" BS here. Nobody typed "Claude, make me a Souls game" and walked away. This is what AI is worth in the hands of someone who already knows 3D & GameDev. Every asset was generated with AI, then assembled, textured, lit and integrated by hand in Unreal Engine 5, on top of a Souls template wired up with Claude Code and UE MCP.
