So the new iPhone can fold now? I asked Claude Code (with the Unity plugin) to make a little game to see if you can keep on folding to make origami. It can, sort of. With a few workarounds.

To be fair, most iPhones can fold with enough effort. It's just a matter of how well they unfold

opus: this is literally not possible. it needs to be flatter. me: then make it flatter.

There is something so violent and yet so calming about the video is crazy.

I am surprised nobody has built a skateboard simulator... based on the new iPhone.

second fold is the test. did the Unity plugin expose crease joints, or did you swap in a new mesh each fold?

the “sort of” is doing a lot of work here — what broke first, the fold physics or Claude Code’s Unity integration?

play the game! was referring to the fact the phone is too thick so the workaround is to smash and flatten it with a mallet

Taking a folding phone idea all the way to origami is such a fun direction. “Sort of, with a few workarounds” feels like a very honest AI building update 😄

this is the creative test I actually trust. not whether the model can name origami, whether it can keep the fold rule while the exceptions pile up. a few workarounds is the honest version. did the game still feel like paper once the shortcuts showed up?

How much of the folding held up once the workarounds piled up?

what were the workarounds, did it fake the crease physics or is it actually tracking fold count?
