Today, the President of #Azerbaijan accidentally revealed #Russia's anti-Armenian position regarding the regional blockade. Today, during the session of the Eurasian Economic Union, a debate began between Prime Minister #Pashinyan of #Armenia and President #Aliyev of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan isn't a member of the EEU, and Aliyev appeared at the summit because Armenia didn't block his participation. First, Aliyev used the phrase #ZangezurCorridor, which symbolizes Azerbaijan's territorial claim under the name of the road corridor from Armenia. It is an illegal demand, and according to the statement of November 9, 2020, Armenia didn't promise to give an extraterritorial corridor to Azerbaijan. Aliyev previously admitted that he himself put the idea of the Zangezur #Corridor into circulation. But the interesting thing is that during this summit, Aliyev announced for the first time that Russia also supports Azerbaijan in the Zangezur Corridor issue. In response, #NikolPashinyan stated, "It is very interesting to know that Russia supports the project you mentioned. To be honest, this is the first time I have heard about it. I know that Russia supports the opening of all transport and economic communications in our region." Yesterday, I sat with a young to woman whose sister was horrifically tortured and killed — with the video shared online by Azeri soldiers. I heard a similar story about a young man. Despite a verbal peace agreement, Azerbaijan keeps adding new conditions. And every night, they fire across the border at Armenian homes — even near international observers. The U.S. and international community must act — to stand with Armenia and make clear that it should not be forced to give up one more inch of land. We also need to help residents of Artsakh rebuild their lives and demand Azerbaijan release all the Artsakh prisoners. And we must ensure that Armenian Christians are never again subjected to persecution or victims of genocide or ethnic cleansing.

The regime threatens to invade Armenia if they don't cede several towns and villages inside Armenia's territorial boundaries. Today, Azerbaijani bulldozers are destroying what remains of Armenian heritage in Artsakh. If left without international support, the Armenian Genocide of 1915 will be finalized in the coming weeks and months. We must act now to hold Azerbaijan accountable by calling for the release of the hostages and enforcing sanctions until a safe and viable path for the return of the indigenous Armenians to Artsakh is achieved. Though today we commemorate the 109th anniversary of the beginning of the Armenian Genocide, the plight of the Armenians is not over – and we must recommit ourselves to end the ethnic cleansing and defend Armenians’ right to self-determination.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev: Azerbaijan unilaterally lifted all the transit restrictions to Armenia, and now, since we did it, more than 40,000 tons of different cargo was transported to Armenia from Russia, from Kazakhstan and from other destinations. Moreover, Azerbaijan itself started to supply oil products to Armenia, and it's already, as far as I remember, more than 10,000 tons. Especially now, when many countries are suffering from access to fuel, Armenia has a reliable source. If not for that, probably today they would have been looking for gasoline and diesel all over the world.

JD Vance just said “we cannot let our Middle Eastern foreign policy be subservient to the state of Israel.” Our U.S. foreign policy has never been subservient to Israel’s foreign policy. He knows that. Why would he need to say that unless he’s trying to politically gain some points with Israel haters? We are the superpower of the world. A presidential candidate of the USA should have the experience and the confidence to stand with one of our greatest allies in the world without hesitation. Unafraid. So neutral. ⁃The highly advanced Israeli weapons systems included loitering munitions (suicide drones) such as the IAI Harop and Elbit SkyStriker, Hermes 900 reconnaissance drones, Spike anti-tank guided missiles, and LORA surface-to-surface ballistic missiles. ⁃Israeli weapons manufacturer Aeronautics Defense Systems used a suicide drone by attacking Armenian positions during a sale presentation at the behest of Azeri officials who requested a live demonstration. ⁃Israeli military personnel trained Azeri soldiers in piloting drones. ⁃Azerbaijan supplies 65% of Israel's crude oil imports, which are pumped via the BTC pipeline through Georgia and Turkey. A clear energy security and arms agreement: you send oil, we give you weapons. A starvation campaign ensued for 9 months, targeting hundreds of thousands of Armenian indigenous Christians: Food shortages, supermarket shelves emptied, families lining up for hours for a piece of bread. No fuel. No medicine. Cancer patients requiring urgent treatment were stranded. Malnutrition. Miscarriages. George Deek was Ambassador at that time. He was there in Baku. Did he voice concern for the besieged Christians in Artsakh? No. His country enabled it. Haaretz, an Israeli outlet, even published a bombshell report entitled "Israel's fingerprints all over the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh". To quote the Special Christian envoy himself: "When violence against a vulnerable minority is ignored because acknowledging it is politically inconvenient, there is a name for it: abandonment."
