I think this is the one time it’s not on ownership. They spent money to hire Jim, they paid a lot to get McDaniel. It’s Joe who is the penny pincher and think he can be competitive with bottom of the barrel free agents and 5-7 round picks in valuable positions

Ownership paid Harbaugh and McDaniel which wasn’t cheap. Made Herbert, James, and Slater the highest paid at their positions at the time. Built the Bolt. Idk how much John Spanos is involved in the draft that could be the only detrimental part but damm they are trying imo.

Roster solid. Mistakes were thinking Strange & Pipkins were good, that QJ & Harris would step up, that O'Leary would keep def good, & McD thinking changing Herberts footwork would help. All were very wrong. Hortiz must make trades for top WR & depth + CB, put Strange on bench now

I think as Pop says it starts with Jim to get the team prepared. But also there is a half truth of building throught the draft. Some of his draft picks have gone. This is where Hortiz should have invested in the IOL. Hopefully the team turns it around.

Sick of these Stubborn ass GMs and Head Coaches Everything is “BALANCE” Sure building through the Draft is good BUT!!!!! You also gotta sign Free Agents because the cycle of a rookie can take time to develop and by that time other players come and go and even that Rookie can decide to go elsewhere after the rookie contract ends so everything is Balance gotta build through the Draft & also Sign Key Free Agents Gotta do BOTH for Herbert Sake.
