I came across this old Ubisoft video about Studio Alice, and it explains so much as to why writing quality and standards have completely declined from back then to now. So basically, Ubisoft back in the day during their prime era created an entire internal group to improve the... quality of their writing. Writers would bring in their scripts to get another set of eyes on them, and then have problems pointed out, and actually be challenged when something wasn't working. Corey May in this video talks about how important it was for writers to have somewhere to go for HONEST feedback. He talks about when he was writing games himself, there were times where he had nobody to turn to for help or guidance. Nobody to look at his work and tell him what they thought. Studio Alice was partly his attempt to give the writers the support system he wished he had. He says writers would come to him and basically say, "I need your help. I would love it if I could show you my work and you could tell me what you think of it." What is said at 4:57 literally describes the current state of Ubisoft writing quality. Lowkey, she kinda foreshadowed today's Ubisoft. I find this so funny because watching this video after my tweet about the Ubisoft writer seemingly being oblivious to how much worse the new Black Flag Resynced writing feels compared to the old really puts things into perspective.show more

This man was criticized for expecting a “thank you” for a good deed. He always saw the same man walking when he drove to work. He assumed the man was walking because he did not have any other means of transportation. He used his own money and bought the man an electric scooter, the man took the scooter and just silently walked away, no thank you or anything else at all. I don’t think that was too much to ask, a thank you goes a long way, otherwise it makes people look ungrateful. Back in college, I had a classmate that I always saw walking home after class. It didn’t matter whether it was raining or snowing, or hot out. Whenever I drove past him he always looked miserable and I could tell he didn’t like to walk all the time. In class I had asked him where he lived, and I found out it was on my way home so I offered to drop him off because it was really cold out and had snowed about a foot. He agreed and we chatted on the way home, nothing serious just pleasant conversation. I dropped him off and went on my way home. For me this was a one time thing, I only offered because how bad it was snowing. After class the next day, he walked with me and when I got to my car he got in. I didn’t agree or offer him a ride that day but he assumed that since I was ok with giving him a ride the day prior that I would be ok with it this day too. I didn’t say anything about it because at this point I didn’t care really. So the next day came and went, once again he walked with me to the car but that day was different. I wouldn’t be going his way because I had to work after class. So before I got to the car I said “I’ll see you tomorrow.” He looked dumbfounded and said aren’t you taking me home? I said no, I have to get to work. He then asked me how he would get home, and I told him the same way you always have. He then gave me excuses for why I was being a jerk because I was making him walk in the cold. I didn’t argue I just told him I helped him out when I could, but I wasn’t about to go out of my way because he didn’t have a car and besides I didn’t want to be late for work. He didn’t speak to me for the rest of the semester because of it, something tells me I was better off not offering to help in the first place.

Robert De Niro originally wanted to play Max Cherry in Jackie Brown, the role that eventually went to Robert Forster. However, Quentin Tarantino had written the role with Forster in mind and had already promised him the part. Tarantino explains… “I wrote Jackie Brown, and I decided at some point in writing the script that Robert Forster would be terrific as Max Cherry. Hello everyone, Hope you guys are having an excellent day. Unfortunately for me it might come to an end... I Officially just received a Cease and Desist from Ubisoft in my emails and i have to comply with them and stop anything leak related against their company. I am truly sadden just as you probably are and i hope you guys had fun while it lasted. This last paragraphs are dedicated to Ubisoft only. In the C&D email, you guys highlighted about my recent post talking about the "Exposing Ubisoft" situation and I would like to inform you that has nothing to do with exposing "Ubisoft's data" or whatever you could think. The true meaning of that post is that there is currently active Ubisoft Support employees that have and still are in contact IRL with some people in the Siege community to help PULL ACOUNTS and selling them on various marketplaces for profit. Recently one Ubisoft Employee was caught doing the actions and got fired, but the problem still remains active. Anyways, You know where to find me like always and im willing to help as much as you want regarding this specific situation. Director Uhm Taehwa mentions Taehyung’s excellent acting and direction for Love Wins All MV in an interview for Muju Film Festival! Hosted by Editor-in-Chief Joo Sung-chul JSC: Do you know that… V, this BTS V, Kim Taehyung is going to be discharged on June, 10th? UTH: Yes, I know about it JSC: Have you perhaps gave him a call or… to give him congratulations. UTH: I sent him a message~ JSC: There is not much time left. The reason why I bring it up is because, the views for this music video is so huge! I think it went up to hundreds of thousands. In the comment section, everyone is saying, "Mr. Director, please do a movie with our Taehyung after he completes his military service." There were so much of these comments. So I'm curious to know, as someone who saw him on set, how was he about acting? For example, his passion for acting.. UTH: For me, if Taehyung would be willing to do so, I would be so grateful. I would love to work with him, even if I had to make up a role and ask him. And on set, we had fun working together. We only filmed for 2 days, and he enlisted I think about 2 days after filming that. Almost right before enlisting, he filmed with us and cut his hair right after he was done filming, and then left the next day I think. To that extent, he really wanted to work together. He was very passionate about it. And that's when I knew that he had a desire for acting. And for real, I'm not joking, but it would be so good if we could work together in the future. JSC: Do you have any nice stories about him? UTH: Uh *thinking* JSC: It was only 2 days so there wasn't much time. UTH: Originally.. Well in the end, they sing while wearing the wedding dress. There was this scene where they're up on the stage, singing. The two of them were originally supposed to dive into the audience and crowd surf. But with only having 2 days, we really didn't have enough time. But as a director, I really wanted to film that scene. I thought it would enhance how their emotions erupt. So until the end I was trying to make it work, and then Taehyung convinced me. He said, "Instead of this, how about we film another scene better?" So he convinced me, and we really didn't have enough time. If we kept my idea, then we might not have had time to film the other scenes. So everyone including the audience actors were worrying how to do this scene. So Taehyung talked me out of doing that scene, and said to the audience actors, "Everyone, I got rid of this scene!" And I remember everyone got so happy and cheered out loud. 🔗

This young man was handwashing his car since there was no line here. He does it all the time. The cars we see are for the automatic car wash. Anyways he already paid once and got water in the bucket so he could hand wash, after he did that he was preparing to put more money in so he could rinse. An employee comes up and takes the money out of his hand and pushes him and tells him to leave. Claiming Hess making others wait yet we see nobody there waiting. Would you have left too? The cops came and heard him out but since the employee wanted him to never come back, he was asked to respect that. I used to do this all the time especially when traveling. Sometimes I like doing it in the winter because of all the salt and such, I don’t want it damaging my paint. One time I decided to do this at about 2 in the morning on the way to the gym. Obviously there was nobody there and there is usually an officer parked in the parking lot because there used to be reports of people parking back there in the dark sleeping and doing other stuff. I was in the middle of my hand wash when a homeless man literally climbed from behind the dumpster nearby and asked why I was being noisy. I told him I was only washing my car and I was allowed to as it was a 24 hr spot and h paid after all. He started being unreasonable and I flagged the officer behind me, it took him about 30 seconds to notice and he pulled up and I explained what was going on. He said he figured that’s what I was doing since he often saw me doing it before. He did tell the homeless man to leave, and he did without incident. I was able to finish rinsing and drying my car and I left. I don’t live in a bad area, so I don’t feel unsafe doing this, have you ever had an issue washing the car at night? Night time is so much better, quieter and less busy.

This young man was handwashing his car since there was no line here. He does it all the time. The cars we see are for the automatic car wash. Anyways he already paid once and got water in the bucket so he could hand wash, after he did that he was preparing to put more money in so he could rinse. An employee comes up and takes the money out of his hand and pushes him and tells him to leave. Claiming Hess making others wait yet we see nobody there waiting. Would you have left too? The cops came and heard him out but since the employee wanted him to never come back, he was asked to respect that. I used to do this all the time especially when traveling. Sometimes I like doing it in the winter because of all the salt and such, I don’t want it damaging my paint. One time I decided to do this at about 2 in the morning on the way to the gym. Obviously there was nobody there and there is usually an officer parked in the parking lot because there used to be reports of people parking back there in the dark sleeping and doing other stuff. I was in the middle of my hand wash when a homeless man literally climbed from behind the dumpster nearby and asked why I was being noisy. I told him I was only washing my car and I was allowed to as it was a 24 hr spot and h paid after all. He started being unreasonable and I flagged the officer behind me, it took him about 30 seconds to notice and he pulled up and I explained what was going on. He said he figured that’s what I was doing since he often saw me doing it before. He did tell the homeless man to leave, and he did without incident. I was able to finish rinsing and drying my car and I left. I don’t live in a bad area, so I don’t feel unsafe doing this, have you ever had an issue washing the car at night? Night time is so much better, quieter and less busy.

One of the most powerful moments in this episode. At 28, mark pincus finds himself unemployed (fired by John Malone, Bain, and others), with few prospects. He had big dreams, but the world wasn't cooperating. This is how he turned things around. what "I realized I had nowhere else to fall from this because I just felt like I’d made a lot of bad career decisions and I was washed up early and I just sat there in this temple." It was a good place to sit and think because he didn't know anyone and didn't understand anything. "And I just started writing in a notebook about why my life sucked so badly." This book, a journal he's kept every year that he calls the book of life, allows him to take an accurate accounting of his life and change his mindset through reflection. After writing for hours about how bad his life sucked and all the mistakes he'd made, he focused on one small thing. "I just ended on this one thing: that I smoked cigarettes. I didn’t even smoke smoke. I smoked like one or two a day, a pack a night if I was at a bar on weekends, but I hated it ... I didn’t want to do it, but I kept doing it." He felt like his life was out of control, but this was one thing he could control. "I just was like, if I could do one thing to know that I’m making some positive change in my life, I’m going to quit smoking. So on October 19th, 1994, I did a lifetime quit on cigarettes and then every day for that year after that, that I didn’t smoke, it was something I could feel good about. So I was like, okay, I did something for myself today by not smoking." The wins started to stack. I asked him what he was writing about. What was his process? "At that point, I had no structure or process. I was just writing, and there was so much in me." Was it anger? "It was. I did feel angry and frustrated and I was like, I had all these dreams. I wanted to be an entrepreneur from early on and I was an achiever. I thought I was an achiever, but I was not achieving." He's done the same technique every year: "What it’s done for me and I think it could do for a lot of people is just be strategic about your life, like be thoughtful about, I like to say, what would your future self thank you for doing this year and what wouldn’t?" Really appreciate how thoughtful Jordan Burroughs is here about why he never made the transition to MMA: "I really considered it, like heavily considered it. One of the hardest parts about growing older, Ariel, is that you have to let dreams die. There are certain things that, when you're young and when you're hungry... you believe you can do it all... As you get older, you start to realize that, man, this may have passed for me. At the heart of why I wanted to go to MMA was the glamour. It was the celebrities ringside, it was the big paydays, it was the global recognition, and it wasn't the purity. Being a Christian... I thought that transition would be more about what I could get and who I could become, and I just don't think it would have been good for my faith, for my family, or for my marriage. That lifestyle would not have been healthy for a family man."

Can any of my friends from the Boomer Generation answer this for me? Why are the Boomers so offended when ask to see their ID? This bank teller was explaining how she goes through this all the time. They always tell her that they’ve been banking there longer than she’s been alive. Showing an ID is just a simple measure to prevent fraud and theft, yet they yell at her for it. I ask because this happens to me all the time, even on the phone. Back at the pizza shop I would have an elderly man call in an order for food and most of the time he picks it up himself, no problem at all. However he started sending other people to pick it up as well as have other people calling the order. When the person picking up shows me his card which I recognize his name which had his photo on it, I won’t accept it without and ID as well, just a precaution. He then had to come all the way down there just to yell at me because obviously it’s for him and I shouldn’t have hassled him. I tried to explain to him when he calls it in and picks it up I know it’s him. However when others call it in and pick it up, I can’t verify if it’s actually legit or not, what if somebody stole his card and tried to use it. He still had an issue with it and explains that his grandkids should be able to use his card, I tell him that’s not how it works and if he kept giving my staff a hard time I would ban him from the store. I don’t need anybody threatening the workers over something meant to protect him. Should I just have let anybody use his card without verification at the shop? What if somebody did steal his card and spent his money, then he would have been mad at me for letting them do it.

Ford: If Biden had said this about anybody, I would have said he was completely wrong. I hope the president corrects himself. Gutfeld: He was asked to and he didn’t. You don't have to like the things that he says all the time. That is why in my filter, Trump is always words versus deeds. I don't have to like what he says. In fact, I can hate what he says but I can also think in his brain, he is going, I don't like him. He can't let that go. We don't have to like it. Just look at the deeds.

This gentleman was getting work don’t on his car, so he rented a car from Enterprise so he could get to work for the next few days. They were supposed to get him at 5pm, 5pm comes around and nobody came. He calls them at 5:10 to see what happened and if they were coming. He ended up having to get to Enterprise himself to speak to the manager, the manager claims he was being a jerk and tells him he won’t rent him a car and to leave. Considering the circumstances I thought the man was being calm. What would you do at this point?
