In the outfield if you open up to one side of a hard hit ball & the ball is on the opposite side just rotate your head to the ball verses trying to turn your entire body back to the ball. Taking your eyes off the ball briefly & having body control is more efficient than watching the ball all the way & not be in control of your movements.

You need to first get off your knee, slide your body over with two knees down, tuck your chin, and get your barehand behind the ball! - Reality: Nice athletic game-saving stop. Do what you gotta do! Catch first, Stop it second. Hands move faster than the body! I’ve never met a pitcher that tried to intentionally throw a fastball in the dirt.

The only real exception is when you're using your lead hand to throw a shot directly in front of you at close range—like when your opponent is trapped on the ropes or tied up in a clinch and can’t retreat. ‘Complete’ is a key swing concept. I say “quick and complete” multiple times during lessons. If your pivot slows…..or stops….isn’t instant and complete….the arms will take the barrel forward. Even if snapped. The rear leg must take it forward. Not the arms. No savers allowed. You made a decision. Execute your decision. Fully. Explosively. If your read was right you’ll barrel it. If your read was wrong you won’t. Keep your swing consistent. Quick and complete every time. Trust your read. If your read was wrong, and you chased. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR SWING. Fix your read.
