During my meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna, we discussed further support for Ukraine. The main focus was on energy and defense assistance, cooperation with partners within the Coalition of the Willing, strengthening air defense capabilities, and additional contributions to the PURL initiative. We also addressed the diplomacy aimed at peace, as well as concrete steps to pressure Russia. Finalizing the EU’s 20th sanctions package and blocking Russia’s tanker fleet are among the key measures. I met with the Minister of National Defense of Lithuania, Robertas Kaunas, who came to Ukraine for the first time since his recent appointment. We discussed Ukraine’s defense needs and prospects for joint defense production. We also addressed the current diplomatic situation and existing opportunities for a just end to the war. I thank Lithuania, Ukraine’s friend – President Gitanas Nausėda, and all Lithuanian people for their support from the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. I am also grateful for joining the PURL initiative, which allows us to procure American weapons. Your support truly helps protect our civilian infrastructure and save lives.

I thank the Netherlands for their support of Ukraine – since the start of the full-scale war, it has already reached nearly $9 billion. I am also grateful for their contribution within the PURL initiative – around $600 million. During today’s meeting with Ruben Brekelmans, we discussed the development of joint drone production, the implementation of the initiative, and collaboration with the Netherlands in this area.

I held a meeting with German Foreign Minister @ABaerbock. We discussed further support for our state, the path to a dignified peace, and the development of security guarantee formats. Germany is a leader in Europe in the scale of assistance provided to Ukraine — from financial aid and weapons to strengthening our air defense. This includes 6 IRIS-T systems, 3 Patriot systems, and Gepard anti-aircraft guns. All this support has saved thousands of lives. We are grateful to the Bundestag for the decision to provide an additional 3 billion euros to Ukraine. In total, German support this year will amount to 7 billion euros. I discussed strengthening our air defense with Dick Schoof Dick Schoof. I briefed him on the massive Russian strikes and the need for additional air defense missiles. We explored new ideas that could help reinforce air defense and protect our people. It is crucial to enhance coordination among partners in the face of Russia’s growing production of ballistic missiles. I thank the Prime Minister for the Netherlands’ support of the PURL initiative and for the many important steps taken to assist our country since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

We signed a Drone Deal agreement with Denmark. This is already Ukraine’s ninth such agreement, and it is important that more and more partners are joining this format, which opens up greater opportunities for joint defense production, the exchange of expertise, and transparency in weapons exports. Together, we are building a new security architecture. I thank Denmark, and personally Mette, for this step toward strengthening our shared defense. It was with Denmark that we began joint production in Ukraine under the Danish model, and it is absolutely fair that Denmark will now have access to Ukrainian exports of weapons tested in war. Today, we also discussed with the Prime Minister Statsministeriet the strengthening of our air defense and work on European anti-ballistic defense. It is extremely important for us right now to receive Patriot missiles as quickly as possible and to jointly develop our own European capabilities to counter ballistic threats. I thank Denmark for its continued support for our people – for its defense and financial assistance, and for all its contributions to the PURL initiative.

We appreciate today’s decision by Norway to allocate a $400 million aid package to our country. This is very important and will truly support our people. During a meeting with Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide, I thanked him for such substantial assistance and for all the support packages for the military and energy sectors. I thank Norway for its assistance since the very beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression. We discussed the energy situation in Ukraine. As always, a good and productive meeting with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. We discussed in detail our cooperation in the production and use of drones. Our experience is already being used in the Middle East and the Gulf. We are improving defense against “shahed” drones, and we believe this should also be done in Europe. Today, for this purpose, we initiated a Drone Deal with Norway and signed a Joint Declaration on Enhanced Defense and Security Cooperation. Now our teams will work out the details. We also focused on our joint production projects and cooperation priorities for this year, and not only in defense. We continue to work together with partners to strengthen our countries. I personally thank Jonas, Norway, and all Norwegians for their military and energy support for Ukraine, for strengthening our air defense, and for their readiness to continue support for the PURL initiative. We feel your support and are sincerely grateful for it.

We also discussed military cooperation, joint defense projects and Lithuania’s proposal to launch a weapons export platform in Vilnius, support for the PURL initiative, and cooperation within the SAFE instrument. Diplomacy was also among the most important issues on the agenda. I shared the latest details of diplomatic efforts toward peace, including the meetings in Abu Dhabi involving the Ukrainian, American, and Russian delegations. Ukraine, as always, is doing everything possible on its part to bring the war to an end.

Thank you for supporting our state and for all of Germany’s assistance since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale aggression – more than EUR 28.6 billion over this period. This is a significant strengthening of our defense. We discussed the development of joint defense production. We can already count on six projects. Ukraine’s proposal to work with Germany in the Drone Deal format is also on the table. We expect that we will be able to make this happen. We also value our agreements on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, which were signed in April. This is important for protecting our energy infrastructure. Europe must be self-sufficient in defending against any threats, especially ballistic ones. We discussed how we can move forward in this direction. Special attention was given to the diplomatic process for achieving peace and to Europe’s place in it. A lot depends on Europe, both in the peace process and in the reconstruction of our country.

Today, Ukrainian manufacturers signed four cooperation documents here, three of which are specifically with Sener. The agreements concern establishing cooperation in the missile sector and air defense. This is what will strengthen the protection of Ukraine’s skies. We discussed production capabilities and bolstering Ukraine’s air defense. Strengthening air defense and protecting lives are our top priorities. We are also interested in joint projects in the field of long-range drone production. Ukraine has new developments and is ready to scale them up. We expect that all agreements between Ukrainian and Spanish manufacturers will be implemented as soon as possible. Thank you for your support and readiness to work together.

I met with Frans Timmermans, leader of the Green-Labour alliance in the Netherlands. We discussed Ukraine’s defense support, diplomacy, security guarantees, and our future in the European Union. We value the Netherlands’ readiness to continue supporting Ukraine. I also want to highlight their participation in the PURL initiative. The Netherlands was among the first to join and has already allocated 500 million dollars for American weapons for Ukraine; it is also funding the purchase of drones. I welcomed German Foreign Minister @ABaerbock on her seventh visit to Ukraine since Russia's full-scale invasion began. I spoke about the frontline situation and Ukraine’s key defense needs. We discussed the joint initiative of German foreign and defense ministers to find additional Patriot and other air defense systems for Ukraine. I thank Germany for assisting us in defending our independence, European way of life, and people from Russian terror.
