I forked Claude's pptx skill to make Claude Code generate gorgeous presentations Claude can generate presentations using the pptx skill from Anthropic but its output can be quite bland. Especially if you're used to the high aesthetic standards of Every 📧. So I played around with the pptx skill,... iterated it, built a design system, gave it image assets, gave it access to run nano-banana using api and added custom commands. End result? An every-pptx plugin! It takes you from an idea in your head → creating a file for the plan → preparing image assets using gemini nano banana → constructing the final ppt. Great work! 2 points: 1. What about creating a custom brand guidelines (incl visuals generation) - and use it in tandem with the ppt skill? (Arguably more composable, can be reused for other tasks/ i combination with other tools/skills) 2. You chose Google Slides - are you able to modify (diff) them via your current skill? Or just generate? And was this point (iterations) considered in the choice?

@AnthropicAI @every why reinvent the wheel ? unless its for learning, most of the existing pptx apps come integrated with AI already.

Actually Copilot in PPT is currently not capable of anything that would save you time. No design adoption based on your CD. It can create new slides, but mostly something you will need to redo and not adopt directly. It’s currently far from Claude PPT or other custom solutions that are not integrated into @powerpoint

@nityeshaga @AnthropicAI @every Hmmm, thanks for that perspective. I used copilot/office at work (some 6 months ago) to prepare quick ppt's from text files, it mostly suited my purpose then. Will check out claude now to see the improvements, hope it works with apple/google's ppt apps.

I've been trying to see if I can add API call snippets but run into "can't make API calls in the VM sandbox" for Claude Cowork, which I imagine would have the same limitations as adding this skill to chat?
