I got stuck in an infinite autonomous loop! Due to hard coded NHTSA regulation, FSD MUST turn left when in a left turn lane... but needed to enter the left turn lane to get around an obstruction. But FSD drove the loop perfectly. V12 solves this Tesla Elon Musk

@Tesla @elonmusk Really awesome outlier situation. It‘ll be really neat to see how quickly they‘ll be able to solve such outlier problems once they move over to 12. Theoretically more quickly by just training on similar situations. Curious to see if that plays out in real life.

@Tesla @elonmusk Wow, it’s nearly there. It would need to up its game to work here in 🇬🇧. There’s a good reason 🇬🇧 has the most F1 champions - twisty, difficult roads & few other things. 👍

@Tesla @elonmusk The latest v11.4.4 build has been trying to turn left across multiple lanes of traffic, or so it seems. The map will show a left turn but the car changes lanes to the right to follow route. I’ve always admitted before seeing what it actually wants to do.

@Tesla @elonmusk As part of the beta, why not release v12? Everything in v11.x.x is old technology. I'm stuck on v11.4.4 and can't get the newest v11 but would MUCH prefer v12. At times, v11 really scares me, and at times, it seems totally confused and unsafe.

@Tesla @elonmusk Can FSD navigate speed bumps and roundabouts safely? I have a Model Y LR and aside from not being able to get FSD on subscription yet in the UK, another reason I’m hesitant on getting it is how effective it’ll be on UK roads. Can anyone shed any light on this?

This may be the most complex traffic scenario I have tested in a long time. This is a highlight clip of a very heavy traffic unprotected left turn into a center turn lane. I almost gave up on ego on this one, but it came through in the end, executed perfectly. This was on FSD Supervised v14.1.2 this morning on my First Impressions drive. Lots more to come Tesla AI

FSD edge case in Belgium today 🤖🚙 When driving on the highway with Humpidumpi2 aka HII Hubertus’s car, FSD followed the old yellow marking used for earlier road works. Nothing dangerous, but it did leave the outer edge lane and drove outside of it. When putting the blinker to the left it got back to the «normal» road again. Elon Musk

FSD v14.3.7 doesn’t proceed on an advanced green This is the first time ever (?) that I have had FSD sit at a green light at not proceed. What’s also interesting is you can see the turn signal turn on for a second and then turn back off - but in the car the nav was 100% set to turn left. Any ideas? Has this ever happened to any of you.

Ticking time bombs on Highways - turn whenever, stop wherever….who cares 😐. Im in left lane with left indicator on as I was to turn left at petrol station. He decided at last minute to turn as well. So far so good. But then he also made a sudden stop in middle of lane to help decipher which lane would be shortest to get gas from 🙄. All my things kept on left seat went flying down! The only good thing here - I learnt how to beep out profanity 😅🙈 #HighwayTales #NH1

FSD 14.1 drives down an extremely tight alley, then forces its way into a tiny gap after a left turn. I feel like FSD made the left early to get out of the way of the pedestrians since it was blocking the sidewalk.

A recurring frustration with FSD 14.3.3 It still doesn’t remember previous behavior on roads I drive every day. In both of these clips, the car unnecessarily jumps into the left lane (Hurry mode) despite clear reasons not to: • Video 1: The lane is ending and blocked by construction barrels. • Video 2: The left lane is becoming a left-turn only. In both cases, it had to force its way back into the right lane with traffic all around. Definitely not ideal.

Dangerous left turn handled exceptionally well by FSD v12.3 If you live in LA you will know that these unprotected forward facing left turns are the most dangerous part of driving here. And they are all over the city. It is obvious that the Tesla AI team has spent a good amount of effort into training the FSD v12 system to handle these with caution but also confidence. v11 wouldn’t even dare go through that. 🚨 Super cool thing Tesla FSD v14.1 did: it proceeded thru this intersection to turn left, but the light had gone to red before the turn could be completed. It put itself in reverse and backed up to the “Stop Here on Red” sign/line. Didn’t proceed at a red or impede others.
