Today is the day of many talks and consultations with our partners. Everyone understands who must take steps to end this war. This is Russia's war, Russia's aggression, and it is Russia that must agree to a ceasefire and engage in real diplomacy that can guarantee peace. Ukraine has unequivocal support, and I am grateful to all partners for that. Everyone agrees that Russia's war against Ukraine is a war in Europe and against Europe. That's why Europe's voice must carry weight in the processes. We are planning certain meetings on the continent. Everyone knows for sure that in Russia, all key decisions are made by one person. And that this person fears U.S. sanctions. And that it is just that Ukraine be a participant in the negotiations. So the format of leaders’ meetings is, in particular, a trilateral format. We discussed this in detail yesterday: several bilateral formats and a trilateral one. I’m grateful to President Trump for his openness to seeking truly effective solutions. Here in Ukraine, we are confident that this war can be ended with a lasting peace. But every step must be carefully considered to hit the mark.

Our institutions are working on the synchronization of European and Ukrainian sanctions. We are also fully aligning the European sanctions package targeting the regime in Iran, which includes numerous individuals, companies, and entities not only involved in military production and external terror schemes against neighboring countries in the region, but also in internal repression within Iran itself. It is one of the most brutal regimes in the world. No surprise that Putin found common ground with it. Global sanctions against Russia must now be one of the top priorities. They are a real tool for limiting Russia’s strategic capabilities and potential, and they must increasingly and painfully restrict Russia’s ability to continue its war against our independence. I thank everyone who is helping.

Over the past week, Russia launched nearly 1,550 attack drones against Ukraine, more than 1,260 guided aerial bombs, and two missiles. Over that same week, due to the easing of sanctions, Russia increased its crude oil sales to finance its war. Revenues give Russia a sense of impunity and the ability to continue the war. That is why pressure must continue and sanctions must work. Russia’s shadow fleet must not feel safe in European waters or anywhere else. Tankers that serve the war budget can and must be stopped and blocked, not just let go. I thank every leader who makes such decisions. This is what brings a dignified peace closer.

We expect this package’s content to be prepared within a month and we propose including Russian legal entities and individuals that are still profiteering from energy resources. There will also be updates on the abductors of Ukrainian children – this must be met with truly global pressure. Of course, there must be substantially cranked up pressure on all schemes that enable Russian military production. This is vital. Every Russian missile and drone contains specific components from other countries, specific countries – without them, there would simply be no Russian weapons. Efforts on this must be doubled down.
