Every terror attack carried out by Russia demonstrates that global sanctions against Putin's regime remain insufficient. Each Russian missile used by these beasts against our country contains components made by companies in other countries, not Russia. A Kh-101 missile has at least 53 such components. A Kh-47M2 Kinzhal contains at least 49 types of components that are not manufactured in Russia. The majority of these components are produced by companies around the world and brought to Russia through shady schemes. It is imperative to block such schemes and those who support them. There needs to be more sanctions. There must be greater accountability for sanctions evasion schemes. I am grateful to all the countries and leaders who are doing this. However, the pressure on Russia must be far greater. Only today, and only in the missiles that targeted Kyiv, more than 1500 components brought to the terrorist state from normal countries were found. This must stop, and the world has the necessary leverage.

Today, I signed a decree introducing a sanctions package against Russian and other individuals and entities supporting Russia’s military system. These include developers, manufacturers, and suppliers of drones for the occupiers, individuals assisting in importing critical components into Russia, as well as those training drone operators. In total, more than a hundred entities and individuals. We are actively working with our partners to synchronize these sanctions with their respective measures. It is crucial that all our partners continue to intensify sanctions pressure on Russia. Without foreign components and without schemes to bypass sanctions, Russia cannot sustain its terror campaign. We are in a race now between how long can the Ukrainian military hold up versus how long can the Russian economy hold up. Our Foreign Intelligence has located specific addresses of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia. We are providing our partners with lists of children who must be returned. This is a sensitive issue, with a great deal of quiet diplomatic work underway. To foil any Russian attempt to claim they supposedly know nothing about these children, we are ensuring that addresses are included as well. The first such list – containing over 300 surnames, first names, and addresses of abducted children – will be on the desks of all the leaders assisting in this effort.

Just last night alone, nearly 500 drones were launched in multiple waves, about 200 of them “shaheds,” also 32 missiles, mostly ballistic ones. Only one response can be given to this: more strength, more air defenses to protect our critical infrastructure, and increased pressure on Russia so that they are truly held accountable for everything they do. Sanctions must be tightened – and we are discussing it with partners – and Russian assets must be fully used to strengthen our defense and ensure recovery.
