The facts of what happened in Minneapolis on Jan 7 matter: at 10:25 AM CT the individual in question was using her vehicle to block-in law enforcement officers and obstruct lawful operations—a felony. Throughout the course of the morning, the individual and her partner had been stalking, harassing and impeding law enforcement. ICE law enforcement approached the individual in question and gave repeated lawful commands to stop obstructing operations and then ordered her out of her vehicle for arrest. She refused to comply. She then proceeded to weaponize her vehicle, a deadly weapon, and hit a federal law enforcement officer. The ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement, and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. Peaceful protest is a sacred First Amendment right. This was not that. If you obstruct law enforcement operations, ignore lawful commands, and use a deadly weapon to kill or cause bodily harm to a federal law enforcement office there are dangerous, and in this case deadly, consequences. This was entirely preventable.

#WATCH | Bhopal | On Goa road accident that claimed life of 65-year-old Bhagat Ram Sharma, son-in-law of the deceased Tushar Uniyal says, “The incident took place on Monday at around 5 O’ clock at happy bar junction when we were returning to our hotel… When we reached at the middle of the junction, the car was approaching us at around 90 km\hr speed. We were unable to process what was happening, and this vehicle dragged us from our lane to the other side of the road, and then it hit a pole there, we were in trauma… When I came out of my car, I saw the boy Shaurya Goyal was in a call with his father, informing about the accident in a casual manner… my father-in-law received a jolt and came crashing from the left side to the right and my mother-in-law was also injured, who had my 3-month-old baby… When we realised what has happened, a lot of damage has already happened… I was driving and there was my wife, my baby, father-in-law, mother-in-law and brother-in-law in the car. We just wanted to celebrate her birthday and relax, but now we are bringing back my father-in-law in a box… My father-in-law couldn’t survive and my mother-in-law is in a critical condition… Luckily my 3-month-old daughter survived…”
