@robotaxi Tesla needs to do a video explaining how the 8 cameras in a normal Tesla can see better than human eyes in rain. @Tesla @elonmusk People don’t understand that cameras can “see” beyond human visible light wavelengths and have a very detailed picture of the environment

@robotaxi My HW3 car dipped out of the way of a semi crossing into our lane in a downpour at 65+ mph. FSD beat me to the brakes and steering wheel, no issue.

FSD V14.2.2.5 takes me 415 miles from Raleigh, North Carolina to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in my Tesla Model Y. Zero interventions. Zero input of any kind to the steering wheel or pedals for this entire day-long drive. When I left, it was 58F and raining. When I arrived home, it was 35F, with snow on the ground. FSD handled heavy rain, light rain, day, night, declining temps, heavy traffic, construction, etc. All flawlessly. Tesla ships the most mind-blowing consumer AI of any kind by far. My loaner car is a Robotaxi 🤖🚕 I had my car in service to have the tires swapped to winters, so they gave me a new Model Y for a few hours. It is incredible that the 'loaner car' they give you is essentially a robotaxi. I remember when I owned a Ford anytime I got a loaner vehicle (most times I got nothing) it was some beat-up dusty old thing that was about to run out of gas. The Tesla Service experience is so well thought out, everytime I use it I am impressed. Tesla Tesla_AI

This morning went Robotaxi was on the way there was a gigantic downpour. Sorry that the footage is just a light rain as it ended before the Robotaxi got to us, but our ETA didn’t change even in the middle of all that rain.

If you're interested in Tesla Robotaxi, Tesla AI or Tesla FSD, then you ought to know about jimmah . He's probably the one person who's done the deepest public dives on Tesla FSD and Tesla AI over the years. In fact, over the past 4 years I've published 40+ videos (!) with James Douma on Tesla AI/FSD (they are all on a playlist on my YouTube channel). I first discovered James Douma a long time ago (maybe almost 8-10 years ago?) on a web forum called . Back then it was one of the only places for early Tesla owners and TSLA investors to discuss issues deeply. While I posted about investing topics, James posted about Tesla Autopilot and its hardware but in a way that was more thorough than anybody else. When I started posting YouTube videos years later, I invited him on my channel to hear his thoughts on Tesla Autopilot/FSD. It was a riveting discussion and I was surprised at how much I could learn from him. I invited him again for another interview on my channel, and once again I was floored by how much I was learning. So over the years, James has been a great resource for me (and many others) to keep pulse on what Tesla is doing with FSD and AI (and even robotics). He doesn't have his own YouTube channel. He doesn't have any paid services or subscriptions. He probably has mixed feelings about so many people knowing about him. But I appreciate his willingness over the years to be available and help the Tesla community by offering his insights and knowledge. It is even weird to me to see a car driving with no humans on San Francisco freeways. People forget that I had the first video of a Waymo 15 years ago. Well, back then it was a Google R&D car. In fact it was the first video of any autonomous vehicle on public roads in the world posted on YouTube. Back then there were four people in the car so I didn’t realize it was a self-driving car. In fact it took six more months for anyone to figure out that Google was doing R&D on the freeways here. I shot this from my Tesla on the way to tonight’s big AI party in San Francisco. My Tesla was self-driving too, but can’t yet drive without a human in the car. With human=supervised. Without human=unsupervised. I will link to the original video in replies.

Super tight squeeze for robotaxi in one of my last drives 🫢 The owner of the parked car asked if it was my car and I told him it was a robotaxi. The robotaxi backed up and then the driver of the parked car left. It looked like the tire touched the parked car. The safety driver then drove the robotaxi away.

CNET after testing Tesla FSD V14: I Drove Over 100 Miles With Tesla's Latest Full Self-Driving and Never Touched the Wheel. "Four days, 4 hours and 100 miles through San Francisco. I'm now fully convinced Tesla's FSD system is the future of driving. It drove me through it all. Tight curbside streets, janky parking garages, rain-slicked freeways, and even the crooked mess of Lombard Street -- both in dry and wet weather -- all without a hiccup. It handled it better than some people I saw reversing down driveways. I never felt the need to take over. Parking was the cherry on top. It would pull into or reverse into spaces, even in tight garages. Occasionally, I'd pick the exact space I wanted, but most of the time, I just let it do its thing. And it did it well. I've used Autopilot plenty, in the UK where FSD isn't a thing. But FSD is miles ahead. I'd be lying if I said it didn't feel slightly magical. I've never driven in San Francisco before. I didn't know the streets. But the car did. And I trusted it. That's the key takeaway here: I trusted the system. At no point did I clench, panic, or even hesitate. ⁉️ What’s in our skies? We had a brief rain the other day not long after I washed my car. My car was complete clean before the rain and I was in an urban area where there was no farm dirt to blow. What on earth is falling from our skies to leave this mess on my car from rain? I’m also sharing this video again… I know the guy that took it and it’s messed up to me. My colleague yabbed me about how dirty my car was yesterday and I told him that I am not always motivated to wash my car because it always rain everytime I wash the car, but he said it can't be true that rain must always fall everytime I wash my car and it was just a coincidence every time it had happened in the past. Then, we had a bet. That car was really dirty, make I no lie. So, after eating supper tonight, the little ones and I drove to asda service station to get the car washed. This was at about 7:40pm on Wednesday 29th July. If it rains in the next 24hrs, that means I won the bet between me and my colleague, and he will give me £10, but if it doesn't rain, I am the one that will give him £10. Today's temperature hit 35°C, it hasn't rained in over 40 days now and it doesn't look like it would rain any time soon, but I won't be surprised if it rains tomorrow, especially now that I just washed my car tonight. I hope it rains so I can use the guy's money to buy fish.

Yesterday I drove my Model Y on FSD v13.2.9 for 65 miles in heavy sun glare, both on & off the highway, in light & heavy traffic. No issues or interventions. The glare was much worse in person than it looks on video. Just sharing since some say Tesla FSD can’t handle blinding sun

I was among the first invited to try out Tesla Robotaxi. A series of unfortunate events resulted in me getting banned from Robotaxi for life. I hope in the future there is some type of dispute resolution process. They made me delete all video footage and the app itself. I had zero time to explain myself and was just immediately expelled from the vehicle. However, I filmed this recreation so you can see my side of the story. Hopefully Elon Musk or someone at Tesla sees this and realizes I had no ill intentions, it was just one big misunderstanding.

It took one night of sleeping in the car to get it! Tesla AI cares enough about my marriage that they pushed FSD 14.1.3 overnight to the car. Shiloh woke up first and installed it and I woke up and it was ready to go. Here it is parking in my driveway.
