I made FlappyFly. I put a fly's brain into FlappyBird. It plays terribly. As a pipe approaches, LC4 neurons detect it getting closer. That input goes into the 166,700-neuron network, and when DNp01 fires, the wings beat. DNp01 is the giant fibre neuron that triggers a fly's escape when... show more

The fly is actually trying to run away on its own! It's not me pressing space!

time to start integrating flies into everything.

We already knew flies can't get out of windows. You have to put the fly to get into a window

Hate break it to ya.. But flys can already fly in rl

What are we doing man?😂😂🤣

As I was reading this a fly flew into my face. They are aware..

bad news

It just needs to actually be able to fly like a fly, like it knows how to do this easily in real life, just let it actually flap its wings instead of restricting it to the torturous constraints of your Black Mirror style reconstructions people!

As a pipe approaches, it dives into it in case there is poo inside.

What tools did you used for this please?

you can start with flygym

You are stimulating LC4 neurons without any inputs from any of the upstreams circuitry such as Medulla, Lamina or any of the photoreceptor cells I wonder how you are doing that ?

I’m suing.🪰🤪

this is such a weirdly good game
