I pressed senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan on whether Hamas accepts any responsibility for the loss of civilian life in Gaza, which residents have told CNN they believe it does. He wouldn’t answer and instead took me on a history lesson of events he didn’t know I witnessed myself.

You claim to have witnessed years of “events”’aka Israel occupying, displacing, and murdering Palestinians. Have you ever asked an Israeli official if they accept any responsibility for the loss of civilian life in Israel on Oct. 7th? If not, then he is correct to accuse you of parroting Israeli propaganda.

You say Hamas killed Israeli civilians 20 years ago, but what about the Zionists who have been killing the Palestinians since before 1947?! Do you regret killing them?!

You came off as a racist genocide apologist. Do you know that the ICJ declared that Gaza has been illegally occupied for decades because Israel controls their borders, taxes, movement, electricity, food etc? That constitutes illegal occupation and every nation has the legal right to armed resistance against illegal occupation. Oct 7 was justified. If Israel didn't want an Oct 7 it shouldn't have illegally occupied these people.

In western media the “good” Palestinian must alway bend the knee and accept responsibility for someone else bombing them to death while Israel institutes the Hannibal directive and places military infrastructure at the heart of Tel Aviv with no one even asking one question.

Curious when you interviewed Israeli politicians & security officials in the last 10 months did you ask the same question, phrased the same way: Does Israel accept responsibility for loss of civilian life on 10/7? If you did, I salute you. Because that’s fair journalism.

Did Hamas drop 2000lb bombs on Gaza? Did Hamas besiege Gaza and starve its citizens over 16 years? Did Hamas attack aid workers/doctors/teachers and nurses? Did Hamas murder more than 20 000 children. All the violence in Palestine is the fault of the occupation for over 76 YEARS
