I pulled the raw transponder data behind Flight FDB1073 which sustained a drop of 14,300 feet in 37 seconds based on the track log data via Flightradar. I used my AI agents to build a 3D reconstruction of the flight in this video. Details below:

The data shows the plane descending from 33,225 ft at 1:21:48 -> 18,925 ft at 1:22:25. That is roughly ten Empire State buildings in altitude lost in less than a minute.

ADA-B data shows a 31,950ft -> 27,950 ft in a 8.2 seconds timespan.

Reports of attempted suicide attempts by a pilot, fights on board, and heroic action of citizens to intervene indicate this sudden drop in altitude may be a miraculous story of a catastrophe avoided.
