Today, I questioned the Prime Minister on his plan if Donald Trump abandons our brave Ukrainian allies. If the US won't support Ukraine in its fight against Putin's war machine, the UK and Europe must – and we should use frozen Russian assets to do it.

Yesterday, the leaders of Ukraine, United Kingdom, France and Germany met in London and outlined the conditions for reaching a just and lasting peace. These conditions include an immediate ceasefire, starting negotiations from the current positions and robust security guarantees for Ukraine. Putin has no interest in peace, negotiations or anything constructive. Putin can only be forced towards peace.

TAYLOR: Putin has no interest in negotiations or ending this war. So the problem hasn’t been on US or Ukrainian side, it’s clearly on Russian side in terms of negotiations. When Putin finally realizes he can’t win, he’ll come to negotiating table himself to look for a ceasefire.

Trump seems to want to end the Ukraine War, and I'm all for it. Negotiating a ceasefire means dealing with Putin. That's the reality. So when Trump's critics whine about Trump "talking to a dictator," I have to wonder if they have any interest in peace at all. How else are you going to get it except by negotiating with Putin?
