I respect Geela, but this is unacceptable. Addu dialect is Maldivian language. Rather than responding in a mocking tone, the you could simply have asked Abdulla Sodiq(Sobe') to repeat the question. In UK Parliament, cabinet ministers ask Scottish MPs to repeat their questions, sometimes more than once, when they... struggle with strong Scottish accents. No one considers this disrespectful, it is a normal courtesy. Majlis exists to ensure ministers respond to questions from citizens, who are represented by their MPs. Dismissing a question by claiming not to understand it is unacceptable. The appropriate response would have been to politely ask Sobe to repeat the question more slowly, or to request that it be asked in official Dhivehi if necessary. Neither was done. Language must never be used as an excuse in Majlis to dodge legitimate questions.show more

Incisive observation from John Doyle in response to a bit from the Tucker monologue. Encourage you to watch the whole thing, but the gist of it is that Tucker's example of a "great empire" that "ruled half the world" and then set into a slow and steady decline is not Rome but rather...the Ottoman Empire? Really? John's point is a good one - Tucker presumably thinks this is more interesting to his increasingly foreign audience than say, the Byzantines, but I think there's another question to be asked. Who is writing this for Tucker? Could it simply have been that the writer himself/herself is some sort of Muslim and inserted this in simply out of ethnic or religious bias? Questions to be asked!

No, my brother, the role of journalism is to ask questions, not to have a problem with politicians. Nelson Chamisa, like other politicians, lies, and when he is called out, that is not a problem; it is simply good journalism! Here is a good example of that below👇🏿 It is not my business to stroke the egos of politicians or their supporters; my job is simply to ask questions. I don’t care how they feel afterwards, because running for public office requires transparency not hero-worshipping. When politicians or their fanatics start lashing out avoiding giving answers to legitimate questions, from my experience, it means there is something they are hiding. I have asked all his (fanatics) not supporters, to tell me exactly what it is they have a problem with in what I said; there is no answer, just insults! ZANUPF was created because of leaders that don’t want to be interrogated, I won’t be part of creating another dictator by being afraid of asking questions!

Is this just a good faith question? Or is this a clear accusation? “A decision was made to murder Charlie… a decision that had to be approved by Charlie’s friends”. Who made it? Where’s the evidence? Friends = TPUSA? A reasonable person would assume that. Where’s the evidence that you have that brought you to this conclusion? This whole “she’s not accusing anyone and just asking questions” schtick is dishonest and it insults everyone’s intelligence. She can ask questions, but you can’t question her. That’s not how this works.

A common citizen has every right to question the Member of Parliament of his constituency on what tangible contributions have been made, beyond empty political rhetoric. Why should such a basic, democratic question invite intimidation? This is not a question limited to the Karur MP alone. For the past six years, MPs of the I.N.D.I. Alliance have remained in a deep slumber. When questions are met with fists & intimidation rather than facts, it is a clear admission of failure.

They have screenshots of all articles and the same questions asked in prelims are mentioned in those articles. Those all articles are published on different dates from October 2025 to April 2026. So their conjecture is . UPSC was leaking one question a week to Anantam IAS and they were publishing it regularly on their website. Which genius went to media with this?

Watch as Francis Shigley' press aide demands reporters ask "on topic" questions only. The Q&A this morning lasted less than two minutes. After each question is asked, a City Hall press aide steps in to reprimand reporters, insisting "on topic" questions be asked. Johnson has the most obliging press corps in the country, and he still refuses to answer questions with which he is uncomfortable. Though it is his job to respond, Johnson becomes visibly agitated and abruptly walks away. Johnson is such a pathetic, pusillanimous coward.

A veteran yelling “I went to war for a First Amendment zone?” is exactly why I ask people in power the questions I ask. Because if the Constitution is sacred enough to draft someone’s kid for, it should be sacred enough to uphold when people protest at home. They may dodge the answer. But they heard the question, on the record. Elon Musk for someone who cosplays as the First Amendment’s divorced dad, you are awfully quiet when actual people are being told where their speech is allowed to stand.

No just king would slaughter the innocent, for even in the darkest creatures there remains a spark of the original creation. Mercy is not weakness; it is the highest form of strength.
