Deputy President Gachagua is PLAINLY WRONG on this. Justice Maina is a principled judge who has a clean record from the magistracy to the High Court. I have strongly disagreed with her on the few occasions I appeared before her, and I told her in court that I found her too "pro-government." But she isn't a judge one can accuse of corruption or incompetence. The sentiments by DP GACHAGUA must, however, be appreciated in light of CJ KOOME's woeful inability to provide a road map to address corruption and incompetence in the judiciary. KOOME must realise that burying her head in the sand won't do it!

For years now, we have had to deal with congestion and the indiscriminate use of Douglas Road, Owerri, despite its status as a major economic artery of the State. This unfortunate situation has created an enabling environment for the breeding of different classes of criminal elements, thereby undermining public safety, order, and the smooth flow of commercial activities. The deplorable condition of the road further contributed to these challenges, encouraging abuse and illegal movements, particularly by motorists and street traders. Our decision to embark on the reconstruction of this strategic road is in line with our Urban Renewal Project, which is aimed at salvaging the City of Owerri from the looming threat of economic stagnation and reversing the gradual decline in urban development and growth. Beyond restoring critical infrastructure, this intervention seeks to create a more organized, secure, and economically vibrant city, and during my inspection of the project site, I could literally feel the fresh air of relief breathed by residents and users of the road, expressing their appreciation for the transformative impact of our Urban Renewal Projects. The reality is that many of these migrants are in Somaliland illegally, with the Oromo administration in Ethiopia known to weaponise mass migration to alter regional demographics. The frustration on the ground is therefore understandable. However, I firmly condemn attacks on children and families. Law and order must prevail, it is the duty of Somaliland regional police to arrest, detain, and deport illegal migrants. Public safety and national security cannot be left to vigilante groups but if the govt isn’t acting, such groups will prevail. Illegal migration is a serious national security threat, and it must be addressed by the state, not the streets.

Today, my bill is already in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine – fulfilling my promise – for justice, for law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies. Full-fledged guarantees of the independence of anti-corruption agencies. Real opportunities to verify, so that any Russian interference is kept out. Everyone who has access to state secrets, and this includes not only the NABU and SAPO, but also the SBI, the National Police, must undergo lie detector tests. These must be regular checks. The bill also contains provisions to prevent various abuses. The text of the bill was discussed with partners, law enforcement agencies, and representatives of the NABU and SAPO. There were many proposals from partners to involve European experts – from Britain, Germany, the EU. I instructed government officials to present the bill to partners and to engage all necessary expert capabilities. And of course, it is important that Ukrainians are responding with such dignity to everything thatʼs happening. Ukraine is a country of people who donʼt look away. Thank you to everyone who is fighting for our state, who is working for Ukraine. Thank you!

Yesterday evening, I inspected the vandalized section of the Lameco Flyover in Osogbo. I commend the hardworking engineers from the Ministry of Works who have swiftly mobilized to the site to ensure the immediate repair of the damaged section. During my visit, I received direct briefing from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, Engr. Bashiru Bello, on the circumstances surrounding the act of vandalism. It is unfortunate that some saboteurs, whose sole objective is to undermine our developmental strides and destroy the legacy of this administration, would resort to attacking public infrastructure built with taxpayers’ resources. I enjoin security agencies to strengthen the protection of public infrastructure across the state and ensure that those responsible for this criminal act are identified, arrested, and brought to justice. These projects belong to the people of Osun State, and every well-meaning citizen has a responsibility to protect them from acts of sabotage and vandalism. My administration remains resolute in its commitment to delivering quality infrastructure and will not be deterred by the actions of those who seek to impede our progress.

The NPCs have a “cone” of vision in front of them, and depending on how closer you are to the middle of that cone and also how close you are to the front of the NPC, the faster you are detected. It isn’t perfect, by any stretch of the imagination, but it is working and serves it’s purpose. As we advance in development this will both evolve and be refined from its current “primitive” state. Surprisingly hard to get something working that actually feels both fair and fun! I’d love to eventually have them “look” from their eyesight, so height matters. Ignore the ground flashing, unity editor is weird like that.

To fully understand the scope of these effects and to prevent this happening again in the future, we need to establish an accurate and detailed timeline of events and associated facts. Placing the most up-to-date information on the record will uncover the truth behind the decisions made and their consequences. These are essential for restoring accountability and trust in governments, and health services and departments. We must make this issue a federal election matter, with the goal being to awaken the public with clear, understandable facts. The public needs to become aware of the magnitude of the problems we faced. The mishandling of this crisis is not a matter of minor errors. We must make this issue a federal election matter, with the goal being to awaken the public with clear, understandable facts. The public needs to become aware of the magnitude of the problems we faced. The mishandling of this crisis is not a matter of minor errors. It involved significant failures that demand accountability and serious repercussions. That is the only way to restore trust in our medical systems and in our government systems and processes. This issue is far from over. We owe it to ourselves and to future generations—especially our children and grandchildren—to address these failings directly, clearly and bluntly. We must hold those responsible accountable and ensure that such lapses are never repeated.

This shows that the actions of terrorist organisations like BLF may appear like a victory to them, but these wicked actions are drifting the youth of Balochistan away from their vile ideology. Yesterday I preached on Judges 20 and its relevance to Charlie’s martyrdom and the public support for his killing made by a substantial portion of our society. In Judges 20, after the men of Gibeah ravished the wife of a traveling Levite to death, all of Israel was mustered to wipe out this city. But the tribe of Benjamin refused and instead came to the defense of their kinsmen. Israel went to war and eradicated the entire tribe with only a few survivors to purge the evil from their midst. The support for political violence cannot be tolerated. All the institutions, mechanisms, and organizations fomenting it must be shut down and all those who support it must be ostracized from civil society.

Today, during a UN humanitarian mission in Kherson, Russian FPV drone operators attacked a UN convoy with multiple drones, effectively ruling out any possibility of the strike being accidental. UN personnel were forced to abandon their vehicles, while local authorities had to urgently organize the evacuation of the UN staff from one of the most dangerous areas of Kherson after the convoy lost its transport as a result of the drone strikes. At the same time, it is difficult not to be struck by the standard UN response of “we do not know which side carried out the attack.” This remains the organization’s consistent policy despite repeated attacks on UN staff, vehicles, and humanitarian convoys in Kherson, and despite Russian drone debris regularly being found at the sites of such strikes. I sincerely thank the UN personnel who continue risking their own safety and lives to help the residents of my hometown, even in its most dangerous districts, as in this case. But refusing to acknowledge the obvious reality that Russia is behind attacks on humanitarian convoys serves only to deepen the sense of impunity enjoyed by those committing these war crimes.

Held the NSDC meeting. Three issues on the agenda. The key ones: We reviewed the situation with shelters in the regions, districts and cities that the enemy is terrorizing most intensively. The results are bad. Almost all over the country. The situation is especially cynical and shameful in those cities that have significant financial resources, but unfortunately, other priorities. Personnel decisions will be made. The second issue is courts. There is a proposal to increase criminal liability for corruption offenses in the judiciary, to make it tangible. From 10 to 15 years with confiscation of property. This should apply to those who extort money, take money, maintain this system of corruption at all its levels. There should be integrity checks of judges, and not only before their appointment.
