I strongly think the FG should implement a 3‑year JAMB result validity law to reduce unnecessary financial burden for students and families. The students may not be able to speak up, but we need to speak up for them. They are future and we can't ignore them.

I agree this has strong merit. A 3year JAMB validity is not about lowering standards, it is about correcting structural inefficiencies that force students to pay repeatedly for system limitations beyond their control. Many candidates retake JAMB not because they failed, but because admission capacity, shifting cut offs, and placement bottlenecks delay their entry. When the constraint is systemic, the financial burden should not keep falling on families year after year. Extending validity would reduce pressure, improve administrative efficiency, and allow students to focus on preparation and skill development instead of restarting the same cycle annually. With proper safeguards and institutional autonomy on cut offs, this reform can protect standards while making the system more humane and economically fair.

I support this. Requiring students to write the same exam every year doesn’t make sense because gaining admission in this country is hard. Students should be allowed to use their scores for admission in the next session without retaking the exam. The 3-year validity proposal is fair.

Or scrape JAMB. WAEC should be enough for Admission.

Someone should sponsor it as a bill for consideration by the national assembly

This is Against the Business Plan of Jamb and against the plan to keep people poor and searching for opportunities. It's alao against the University system to make prpfity annually. 🥱 So NO, it won't be implemented, it takes a good leader that loves the people to implement this. Unfortunately, we don't have any. 🥱

Great initiative, there are so many reasons why this shld come into play. I had a frnd who didn't get admission on first trial even though score was high, tried second time had a lower score, had to try the third time, if only the first was valid, time and effort won't be wasted

This is a valid reason, i know a student who sat JAMB last year scored 296 but cant sit for post UTME because she is not upto 18years. Now she is getting ready to resit for the exam
