I think Australia is doing it wrong.

Qatar and Australia produce roughly the same amount of natural gas per year.Qatar gets around 72billion yes that’s right billion dollars per year from exporting their gas . Australia gets approximately 2billion from exporting the same amount of gas per year. Qatar’s people pay no income tax. Last year I paid around 40% of my income in tax . Someone is getting 70billion a year in (fuck knows what you call it) our money and we still pay tax on top of that . Time for a change . Stand up Australia. Enough is enough . By the people for the people. They forget that part

@AussieBotStudio The governments are are absorbing all the royalties in Australia. Qld took $18bn in 22-23 from coal & gas alone. Did any Queenslanders see that money? There are no net subsidies on fossil fuels, it’s just green misinformation. They are huge revenue sources for govts.
