Sounds interesting. Gravity is probably pressure-gradient in vortices around atoms and matter like Earth, as is known since Huygens and 1600s. Atoms likely themselves vortices in the aether medium, as is known since Kelvin, and gravitational red shift due to expansion and compression of these as surrounding aether pressure changes - the atoms are Helmholtz resonators. Atoms do not move through the medium as particles, they are vortices within the medium that move through the medium by involving new medium and releasing old, similar to waves (waves are a disturbance in the medium that moves, not a "thing", and same with a vortex). Magnetism, as Maxwell knew, is the same vortices, but, vortex-vortex interaction (Bjerknes forces, Bernoulli), which means orientation matters and it falls off faster. Electrostatic might be vibration based, wave interference generating pressure gradients, Bjerknes forces (named from @CJBbooks grandfather or similar, Norwegian scientist Carl Anton Bjerknes).

Generating or storing enormous amounts of energy does not by itself produce motion or gravitational propulsion. I thought the most interesting part of the Book, was the pulsed fusion reactor using Lithium and Deuterium. It is located in the turret with magnetic containment 90 degrees to the ship body. But if you don’t need to maintain the containment field for flight you can substantially reduce the weight and size of the reactor. Point being, a 1MW reactor 1/5 of the books 5MW reactor really could be quite small and portable. Still using the MDH, MEG, and turbine for energy extraction
