I will always have mad respect for David Icke when he sticks with what he KNOWS- how the world works and history of the last 600 years or so. A legend. My criticism is the same I have for the other big personalities out there all agreeing on the... BS Younger Dryas Impact Theory, Great Flood and Atlantis 11,600 BCE stupidity and the Age of Leo falsification for the date of the Sphinx cowards like Hancock, Randall Carlson, Jimmy Corsetti and Billy Carson push but won't debate. Icke can be forgiven the chronological errors because what he has brought to the table in his life is incalculable. Just wish he'd leave the ancient chronology to the experts- well, that would be me.show more

You have heard of Atlantis, the island civilization that vanished beneath the sea. What you may not know is that Plato gave a precise date for when it sank, and that modern science has found a real event that happened at almost exactly that moment. But in his dialogues Timaeus and Critias, written around 360 BC, Plato does not present it as a fable or an allegory at all... The story, he says, had been carried to Athens by the great lawgiver Solon, who had traveled to Egypt and heard it from the priests of the city of Sais, keepers of records far older than Greece. One old priest tells Solon: "O Solon, Solon, you Hellenes are never anything but children, and there is not an old man among you." The Greeks, he says, have forgotten their own past, while the Egyptians had written it down. And the priest gives a specific timeframe. The war between the Proto-Athenians and Atlantis, he says, took place 9,000 years before Solon's visit. Then, in Plato's words: "there occurred violent earthquakes and floods; and in a single day and night of misfortune... the island of Atlantis disappeared in the depths of the sea." Nine thousand years before Solon places the event at roughly 11,600 years ago. And here is where it becomes strange... That date, 11,600 years ago, is almost exactly when one of the most dramatic climate transitions in the recent history of the planet came to an end. Geologists call it the Younger Dryas: a period when the Earth, already warming out of the last Ice Age, suddenly plunged back into near-glacial cold for more than a thousand years. According to modern science, that cold period ended around 11,600 years ago, and it ended abruptly. The warming returned with great speed, and the great ice sheets resumed melting. That melting is the part that matters here. Some scientists have identified a phase of rapid sea-level rise at the close of the Younger Dryas, beginning around 11,500 years ago, known as Meltwater Pulse 1B. The studies that support it describe sea levels surging upward as the ice sheets collapsed, drowning coastlines that had stood for thousands of years. Plato's date for the sinking of Atlantis, in other words, falls almost exactly on the moment when modern science says the oceans may have risen suddenly and swallowed land at the end of the Ice Age. I want to be careful and honest here: none of this proves that Atlantis was real. Most scholars believe Plato invented the story to illustrate his ideas about pride and the fall of great civilizations, and they may well be right. But the coincidence is hard to shake. A philosopher in the fourth century BC, insisting he was recording true history passed down from a people who kept ancient records, said that a great land was destroyed by floods roughly 11,600 years ago. He would focus on a distant planet and be transported there, and on each planet he would have an adventure and at the end there would be a lesson that he was supposed to remember. The last planet he visited, his mother was there. I just interviewed Pastor Chuck Swindoll. Chuck is 91 now, and he is still full of energy and passion, still serving the Lord. He's lost most of his eyesight — but not his insight. I can think of no public figure whose work has meant more to me than John MacArthur's. I can think of no ministry that has shaped my life in greater ways than Grace to You. Like millions of other Christians around the world, his daily teaching became the backdrop of mundane domestic tasks, long car rides, and sleepless nights. His books, the first resources I turned to when dealing with a crisis or trial in my life. To be quite frank, this feels a little like losing a father. I had the joy to interview and correspond with him on occasion, and when he heard I had cancer, he sent me a message of great encouragement. I cannot help but feel we have seen the last of the great lions pass out of the world. But I know, as Pastor John taught me, that the Lord does not leave himself without a witness. And He will raise up more teachers like Johnny Mac, as his dear friend, RC Sproul, another of the great lions, used to call him. And on that note, I smile to imagine the two of them reunited. His adherence to sound doctrine never wavered. Whether preaching from his pulpit or on the set with Larry King, he never watered down the truth of Scripture. I thank you Lord so much for his legacy and that he now has the full joy of his salvation. Well done, good and faithful servant.

today would have been Oliver Tree birthday . he brought me so much joy just to know a creator that loved and breathed his art 1000% every time I see him I felt like I wasn’t doing enough .. but it wasn’t just the work as a musician it was life . he lived it every moment to the fullest - he gave everything in his bones to making the world a better place with his music . a lot of people might have just been turned on to him that wasn’t familiar . and he would be so happy to see the impact he had .. at a great time with everyone looksmaxing, faking their way to the algorithm and making music for the money - he tried to steer humanity into a greater place where being the best version yourself is the greatest gift you can give... this is one of the demos we had - in retrospect it makes me cry to listen back to.. what a big heart this man had

The water erosion visible on the Sphinx is not a minor detail or a contested footnote. It is a geological clock - and Randall reads it directly. The last time significant rainfall occurred in the region of the Giza Plateau was approximately 10,000 years ago.
