On Friday in Evanston, Illinois, chaos ensued when a red car slammed into the back of a DHS vehicle. The car had been tailing the agents in their SUV to warn neighbors of their presence. After the car rear-ended DHS, the driver of the car, passenger, and one other person were arrested. The Trump administration confirmed all three are US citizens. At one point during the arrests, a woman tried to help an arrested woman escape. An agent caught that attempt in the act and threw the helper to the side so he could shove the arrested woman back in the SUV. He then pulled his gun out to defend himself. The man in the green shirt on the ground was handcuffed and arrested. During his arrest, he resisted and was subdued by agents on top of him. Eventually the SUV sped off with the agents and the arrested Americans. The red car was towed away. The crowd had been completely out of control. They were not only screaming at the agents, but reportedly also spitting on them and trying to rush into the SUV from both sides to retrieve the arrested people. Pepper spray was used and multiple people were thrown to the ground. Afterwards, the mayor of Evanston, and other anti-ICE activists, spoke and completely misrepresented what happened in order to disparage DHS. (kimkatieusavietnam on TT)

Rioters then shot at agents with commercial artillery shell fireworks. A Border Patrol transport van carrying illegal aliens attempting to get to the safety of the perimeter was then attacked. Border Patrol agents were able to secure the van and get it into the perimeter. The mob of rioters grew more hostile and violent, advancing toward agents and began throwing rocks and other objects at agents, including one that struck Chief Greg Bovino in the head. Border Patrol agents repeated multiple warnings to back up and that chemical agents would be deployed if warnings were ignored. Riot control measures were deployed, including by Chief Bovino, and arrests were made. Agents properly used their training. The use of chemical munitions was conducted in full accordance with CBP policy and was necessary to ensure the safety of both law enforcement and the public.

The Department of Homeland Security is now calling the federal crackdown in Minneapolis “the largest operation” in its history. A DHS official tells Camilo Montoya-Galvez there are now roughly 800 Customs and Border Protection agents in the Minneapolis region. The incident happened in Fronton, Texas and resulted in Border Patrol returning fire. “Cartel members tried to bring a group of illegal immigrants across the river. The agents fired back. No one on either side was hit. The group of illegal immigrants did not make it across,” Fox reported. The border in Fronton is extremely dangerous, as highlighted during a previous video segment from Melugin.
