If someone is paid thousands to take a side on an issue, they shouldn’t also be making sweeping public health decisions about that issue. That’s a conflict of interest. Because you can’t be truly impartial when money has already tied you to one side.

Issue 1 in Ohio is an insane proposal: they want to create a committee of unelected Fauci-like bureaucrats who *can’t be removed by voters* to decide how Ohio election districts are drawn. If one of those bureaucrats commit a felony, voters can’t vote them out. If an ordinary citizen dares to talk to one of those bureaucrats, they will *report you to the government.* A Swiss billionaire has pumped millions of dollars into our state to push this issue, which makes no sense. Keep Ohio self-governed & vote NO on Issue 1.

If your past is something you feel the need to hide, the issue isn’t men being insecure. The issue is accountability. Relationships aren’t built on secrets and selective honesty. If someone has to be misled to stay with you, that says everything about the situation.

This is a problem. Conflict of interest rules shouldn't be about protecting politicians from paying taxes. It should be about protecting the public from powerful politicians making decisions that benefit themselves & their friends. We need to change the law.

Consultants should be very worried about AI. Too many spend years advising businesses without ever making decisions of consequence themselves. Eventually, that becomes a problem. This is a really cool side by side video of the two versions of this ride. When you look at it like this, Bayou Adventure isn’t as bad compared to Splash as many people make it out to be. The issue is that this is the Disneyland version which doesn’t have as much dead space because it’s a little shorter than the one at WDW. If they could flesh out Floridas a little more, it would be even better.

If you vote in the Welsh elections based on immigration, you are wasting your vote. The Welsh Parliament has NO CONTROL over immigration. It’s like ordering Deliveroo because your boiler has broken. One has no power to fix the other. I’m not saying you shouldn’t care about immigration as an issue, but electing people based on an issue they have no power to address makes no sense.

“Our democracy” is simply Rousseau’s General Will. It declares one side the rightful owner of the system, so an election loss becomes an attack on democracy itself instead of democracy working. Rousseau said the nation has a single General Will, the true interest of the people, separate from what individuals actually vote for. Anyone who rejects it can be forced to be free because their dissent only proves they misunderstand their real interest. Replace “General Will” with “our democracy” and the logic is the same. The other side is not a rival to persuade but a threat to something you already embody.
