Vibe Coding a AAA game with threejs day 8+9: Skylines First of all, the recording below is not sped up, no building LODs, running on a macbook air m2 (8GB, 8-Core) I've added a procedural building generator to the world editor, however, i don't really like the buildings. Don't get me wrong, they actually look decent and codex has done a great job generating textures, doing uv mapping, etc. I've learned so much in 9 days! We're nearly at the end of my promised 2 week sprint and i'm considering either continuing to work on this after 14 days or open source it so you all can have fun building whatever you want on top of it! Though i'll have to go back and finish the human designer app first after the 14 days! It now also has some GTAO, FXAA and the car physics are now much, much more realistic

We shouldn't have to live like this...where it's necessary to pay security details thousands of dollars to keep us safe when speaking the truth. But even then it's not enough, because you can be shot dead in the name of "tolerance". I grieve with you all. If you find yourself celebrating or making light of this, know I'm praying for you tonight and will continue to as the days pass.

Pedestrians AND Traffic are alive now everyone!! Been heads down for 2 days on this one to build a hyper realistic flow, it was a massive amount of work, but part of the map now has people walking the streets and cars actually driving through traffic. Day 23 of building hyper realistic community own open source, open world game with a loop of AI agents. Today's progress: - Pedestrians are in. NPCs walk around the streets on their own. - Traffic works. cars drive the roads and follow the flow. got both running together across a whole section of the map. This was one of the hardest parts so far. a city only feels alive when the crowds and the traffic are all running at once, and that's a lot of systems talking to each other. but real talk, a lot of this i had to set up by hand right now, and the bigger the map gets the worse that's going to be. There has to be a better way. next up is scaling it from one section to the entire city. quick question for the unreal engine people: whats your best approach for traffic and crowd AI at full city scale? I got a section fully alive, now i want the whole map moving. if you've built this before i want to learn how you did it.

I installed a new Visual Studio Code extension to help me write code. But this extension doesn't get in your way. It doesn't try to write code for you. It only gives you hints and recommendations about your code. I like that. Like a second pair of eyes, looking over my shoulder and telling me how I can do things better. The extension is Traycer. You can install it directly from inside Visual Studio Code. It's free forever for anyone working on open-source projects (and if you aren't, you can use it for free until the end of June.) I recorded a super-duper-quick video to show you how this extension works. I know code generation is a huge thing, but I really appreciate tools that help me do what I do better. Markdown was doomed from the start. It's just a format with low information density. HTML is better for humans, and agents can now consume and produce it without issues. But nobody wants to type HTML, so here is an alternative: This is an open-source tool for generating dashboards from data without writing a single HTML tag. You define your dashboard in YAML or TSK, and the tool will serve the HTML file for you. It comes with skills for Claude Code and Codex, so they know how to build these dashboards. And you can connect this to Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, and many other databases. Repo link below.

As soon as the cop's lights came on, the car pulled over, and when the officer stayed behind us with the lights still on, the car remained stopped. Building procedural terrain meshes with threejs in quixel megascan quality Everything you see is 100% procedural, from topology to textures This will be open sourced together with the asset library, under MIT license The terrain meshes can be built from any base massing i will also release a terrain mesh modeling skill, so fingers crossed it should be capable of producing any variations and styles you want Baking takes a bit, so it can also pre-bake and render cached meshes Will work on LOD support and making the compiler faster Releasing very very very soon
