I’ll take my dollar, thank you

Saying this while on PJ is crazy. The music industry did you good 😂

Can’t lie, it’s a big part of why I’m hoarding so much original music. I intentionally put mixtapes out for free as homage to the artist’s song I use

That’s crazy basically artists lost the bag with streaming services 💔

Yup. I was the only independent artist that had music on iTunes in Long Beach in 2009. Dollar $1.25 a song. How we used to sell CDs out the back of our trucks! Then overnight the streaming bullshit started, and now no artist is making money. This was their strategy all along.

Stonebwoy said this but those ignorant fools came online to talk rubbish

It's all a joke🃏... Hopefully the bartender gets me a drink for free. That's all I want don't need her number.

Gotta love this man for his transparency

Would control over your catalog help with this?

If a commercial license his music, it could be worth millions. Wtf is he talking about. He already has a track record of wasting money on dumb shit. He'll be broke again

The 🐫 killed artist making money from their music. Once again he is on the wrong side of history.

*cough* most of these artist didn’t sign a ringtone deal either and that made them hella bread. Nobody told artist they were getting $5 a ringtone bring that up in conversation to these artists old school artists because that was their cash cow. T-Pain blew mad bread

If you actually own your songs, you have nothing to worry about. Ask Garth Brooks

How do you think us songwriters feel 👀. I’m not doing another NDA or Wait for back-in unless it’s 7-8+ figures. It’s not worth the stress at all. Thanks Pain, for so much!! 💐 💎

At least you made real money during your time as compared to now bakers then you used to make money off a ringtone

Truth about how they are setting cost 💲 of Artist Catalog & Work WITHOUT Artist Consent hmmm A Permanent Dollar 💵 a play at LEAST & increase with the rise inflation hmmm Fair 🎡🤙🏾♾️🪽

Did you own the rights to your catalog back then? Asking out of honest curiosity because this would be a good reason to push for artists to make sure they have ownership and thus more control over their IP.

At a point in life, you have to figure smthing out on your own When life screws you over and you still decide to bend over, you gon get f*ed up some more

I love you T-Pain. I had a childhood rich in T-Pain bangers on the radio. So please. As a fan. PLEASE have these conversations on the ground next time big dog. 🙏

Something ironic about the guy that made autotune mainstream complaining about technology making his art worth less over time.

Well guess what you don’t own your music dummy and nobody forced yall to sign labels. You did that for a quick bag and got it so stop bitching. Sold out for money and you wanna complain. Stuff

W $DAD

He needs to move in silence, every Major artist that ever spoke about going independent and having their own rights has tragically passed away from a horrible death.

@Sir3O3

AI can now compose music better than you can. You should adapt to the changing times.

Crazy man 😂

can you please tell that boy in a dress wanting to “shag the algorithm” & beating up my artist, what purchasing streams means for an artist & to stop holding my guy hostage? I’m tired of talking sense to a deaf fake music producer person.

Well no if you artists are anything to go by as a forward flow music “industry” for kids safety Hell no I don’t think anyone’s leaving their kids anywhere near this sh Clean music execs privately shuffled out ages ago to keep the world safe whilst previous artists destroy it

Lemme get this straight, you got 25.7m “monthly” listeners on Spotify, and IF that amount of people play your music atleast 3 times a month, you get roughly $150-200k per month? On Spotify ALONE? … or how does it really work. didn’t you say you did ALL the maths before selling your catalogue? 🤔🤔

T-Pain is $DAD-coded: know your worth, own what you built and protect your kids’ future. Real dads build legacies. #ForAllTheDads
