Photoshop already is a refined tool. Integrating AI would have been the necessary update.

How does layering work in this extension? Every time you inpaint part of the image, it changes the base layer? That would make a photoshop workflow very difficult cause you wouldn’t be able to move anything without inpainting all over again!

Seems there is a plugin for Gimp too...

A major issue I am seeing is that when we integrate AI models into everything we do, whatever is created by that AI is co-owned by that AI. This would lead to an IP nightmare scenario and greater centralization.
