After talking about Leaflit and her new AI Rigging tool in the last stream and I have to say, the Artists had it coming. The good ones will always remain, but the subpar Artists will directly compete with her tool and this is a GOOD thing. Free market of...

Competition makes the product BETTER, and by association, the artists creating the product. Side note, anyone declining work due to their own political bias should probably look for a different line of work. Business is not for them. If you want to make money, you value your customer base. You do what you can for as many as you can, and give the quality that has people returning for more. It's common sense.

see i see it as an absolute win. ive been learning rigging slowly over time, but if i had a tool to do the basics, then i can focus on experimenting and learning more fun and advanced things. build the foundation, understand the tool, automate basic stuff, then go all out for where it really matters.

I love to Draw and i tried AI Creation and it wasn't as Fun to me. But i don't Mind If People want to use it. Also i Draw for Fun. I think Artists can coexists, doesn't matter what Tool ist used for it.

I still draw and do crafts myself. AI hasn´t stopped me from being creative. I´m glad to hear it hasn´t effected you either. at the end of the day it is a tool. A more convenient way to generate certain things...like thumbnails or animations. I also see the benefits of rigging assets or new outfits ,faster using this, rather than waiting for weeks and pay a fortune for every extra toggle.

Yes. I also Look on it in a more general way. AI can be useful in so many Fields. Like i wanted to build some Muscles, lose fat and do something against my backpain. I asked AI and it made me Workout Plan,a Mealplan and have Advise on how to fix my Back.

More and more, you prove why artists avoid you and that retard Leaflit. Artists helped build the Vtuber community, and continue to help maintain it. You remove the heart and soul from art when making anything in AI. Fuck you, and your slop, Mayonnaise Monkey.

The antis are on the attack again, unsurprisingly. I love that it's all "muh community" when people get the opportunity to get models for cheaper. VTubing isn't a community, it's a style of streaming.

Thanks to her work people can test the waters first. Instead of spending an ungodly amount of money before even starting a stream and maybe not even liking it, you now can test it with low investment. I keep an eye on it and maybe give it a go at some point and mess around a bit

Technology always gets adapted to fill a shortage/need in any market. This is just an example of that. AI isn't picky about its clients due to their politics. AI isn't going to ghost you for months claiming "health issues" or other crap. AI isn't going to come back in a year and claim you violated some bullshit T&C over your opinions. AI is just going to do what it can and that's it. Artists and Riggers will only suffer when THEY have been the biggest drivers of this technology in the first place.

Will it get better? This is the problem, you're buying in on the promise that it will be good one day guys I promise! Because right now it looks awful. Anyone buying in now before it gets to the good state everyone says it will be in is getting duped. More thievery.

I am starting to become intolerant of artists. They act so entitled and smug like filthy liberals. My stance is AI is just a tool and you can use it or not. Good artists will continue to make money. Instead of going "I disagree but okay" they post a reaction image and block you.

Facts. I've been saying this for months on end by this point. Notice how the established, big artists and riggers aren't acting like utter buffoons about this. Because they run a business, know that they have work and will have work and nothing will affect that.

AI itself is irrelevant, what is being exposed is the problem of suckage running amok in the artist sphere. There's a reason I call them Bohemians, because many don't like the reality of their subpar reputation being called out. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for that issue.

People just do not understand trades and its very clear here. Learning to rig at a high level takes dedication and basiclly being kinda shit at it to begin with. Most riggers and artists already work for shit hourly rates. This kind of thing will not inovate, it will destroy.

Profilbild von BananaJuju 🍌🐒

"Most riggers and artists already work for shit hourly rates." So this should then be offloaded on my shoulders ? I go for what fits my budget and not for type of entity that creates it . The top % of artists and riggers are very well off with their rates, like it is in any type of business. And yes, if your artworks are just bad and therefor people decide to not buy it and go to the competition, then it is capitalism, simple as that . No one is owing you their pockets, because you decided to do something.

I have said 4 decades that the "art" most people draw nowadays is "lazy ass crap". Most people that call themselves artists draw ugly sloppy lazy art & most of the artists r pretentious Wanabes. Beautiful art stops a person pulls them in holds them, The same with terrifying art.

Too bad it took SO LONG for this to happen, for a incredibly long time "Artists" had a captive market and forced beyond PREMIUM prices for sub-par work by most of them, with some MAJOR EXCEPTIONS actually providing QUALITY.

Its not only the Price, some Western Artists also seem to have the Idea that they can hold their Customers in a legal or rather illegal chokehold and dictate what they can or can not do with the Art, never seen such delusions on eastern Artists like Japanese ones.

These artists who complain are the same as people who think their only value and pride is to use the most menial tools to do the most menial work. They are lint pickers and muck shovelers, and the cotton gin and excavator just showed up.

For generative AI to become an interesting art tool, we need much more control over the output. The slot-machine-like nature of pure text-to-image leaves too much to chance. Using the "Real-time Latent Consistency Model" that I'm using in the example here, is the first time I truly got a glimpse of a future where we'll be able to use our artistic skills and sensibility, to get control over AI image gen. Systems like these will never be able to match the quality or originality of a skilled artist, it won't surprise us in the same way an artist can. Things are a mess in terms of the training data these models are based on, and the questions about copyright concerns and about a time when everything will look the same are very valid. At some point capabilities like these will be embedded in photoshop, and anyone will be able to generate a pretty picture. But to create interesting designs, to tell original stories and to surprise us, we need creatives and artists with something on their mind. We'll be able to create immersive worlds, by making brush-strokes and sculpt marks, without needing to worry about all the dials, plugins, wires of our 3d and 2d tools today. I love to sculpt, I love to draw, and I love to explore new mediums and new ways to create. The Gen AI tools we have today are far from perfect, and things need to be steered in a better direction. For that we need artists to help point the way. Gen AI isn't going away.. it's too powerful and has the potential to allow us to tell stories like never before. Like all other big technological shifts, tech like this will come at a cost, but it will also open up new opportunities and empower a new generation of storytellers. I might be naive, but I believe that human ingenuity and creativity will persevere in this new world ♥️ #art #ai
