I’m really looking forward to these upcoming Tesla FSD updates: • FSD V14 “Lite” for HW3 owners: Can’t wait to try it, even as a daily HW4 user. It’s expected to release at the end of this month and include the same features as HW4 V14. • Pothole Avoidance:...

This is huge and exactly what is needed for FSD. Elon Musk says future FSD software releases will remember your parking preferences when arriving at a destination. The only time I need to disengage FSD is when reversing into my garage to charge. Hopefully now it’ll remember where and how I want to park. This could also help people with dedicated parking spots at work, etc. I can’t wait to try it out, I know a lot of people were waiting for something like this.

The best part of Tesla FSD is that it’s always improving. Here’s what’s coming: • Pothole Avoidance • Tesla is going to expand reasoning to all behaviors beyond destination handling. • Elon says an update is coming that gives the car the ability to learn and default to your preferred spots over time. You’ll also be able to select exact parking destinations. • Tesla is working on bringing voice controls to FSD in a couple of months. • V15 is expected sometime in late 2026 to early 2017. This will be the model with ~10B parameters (10x more than V14). The rate of improvement is only accelerating. Ultimately, the end goal is Unsupervised FSD in customer cars. Tesla says when it does rollout, it will happen gradually in approved geographies, which make sense.

🚨 Will HW3 Teslas get Unsupervised FSD? Larry Goldberg says Elon Musk believes if HW3 can’t reach the safety level, Tesla may upgrade the hardware for free for FSD buyers. A "lighter" v14 version for HW3 is still being worked on, but timing is unclear. The big question: will Tesla upgrade HW3 cars to newer AI hardware? $TSLA 👇

WARNING: ⚠️ ‼️ Please be very careful with FSD Supervised v14.1 Lite (HW3) when you get it, particularly with going in reverse. It’s called Supervised for a reason. This raises a really good question. Does HW3 even have the ability to allow this to be improved? If not, I’m afraid Tesla will need to add some very bold and obvious disclaimers for people using FSD. Otherwise accidents will be inevitable.

Tesla VP of AI confirms you’ll soon be able to give driving instructions to Grok while using FSD (Supervised). This will be especially useful when arriving at your destination, allowing you to specify exactly where you want the car to park.

Cybercab won’t be just used for commercial use, you will be able to purchase one for yourself for ~$30,000. With Unsupervised FSD you’ll be able to sleep, do work, watch movies, and even play games as the car is driving you to your destination. It will spawn a new appreciation for transportation. Individuals that can’t drive due to disabilities, age, or other reasons will have freedom. Tesla Self-Driving and Cybercab will change the lives of many.

Reasoning is what really changed the game with FSD V14, and as they implement more of it, it’s going to be game over. Here’s a great example. FSD exits the parking lot of this coffee shop. If you zoom into the nav at the top right corner, you can see that it’s telling me to turn left (illegal to do so here). This has been a map error at this shop for a while. On all previous FSD versions, I’d disengage here as FSD would try to make the illegal left. With V14.2 reasoning, the car gathers context, understands it isn’t supposed to turn left here/ignores nav and triggers the re-route.

Tesla FSD V14.3 is slated to be released within the next few months. Elon says this is the “last big piece of the puzzle.” Using reasoning, it will actually consider which parking spot to select. It will let you out at the store’s entrance, then proceed to locate a parking space. It will identify open spots far more effectively than a person according to Elon.

Grok Integration in the new Tesla Summer Update is scary good. But I can’t help to think about future updates that will allow you to interact with Full Self-Driving with just your voice. Elon Musk says the ability to do so is coming soon. Imagine saying: • “Can you speed up, I’m late” (FSD goes into Mad Max Mode) • “Pull over behind that blue truck” • “Navigate to Costco and park away from other cars.” • “Remember this spot next time we come here.” • “Reverse park into the garage/spot” Tesla with FSD voice prompts will be like talking to a sentient being

Elon Musk on upgrading FSD hardware for customers who bought FSD on HW3 vehicles during today’s Q1 2026 Earnings Call: “Unfortunately, HW3, I wish it were otherwise, but HW3 simply does not have the capability to achieve Unsupervised FSD. We did think at one point it would have that, but relative to HW4 — it has only 1/8th the memory bandwidth of HW4, and memory bandwidth is one of the key elements needed for Unsupervised FSD, and it's just generally a thing that's needed for Al. If you're doing an order aggressive transformer, memory bandwidth is the choke point. For customers that have bought FSD, what we're offering is essentially a discounted trade-in for cars that have Al4 hardware, and we'll also be offering the ability to upgrade the car to replace the computer — you also need to replace the cameras, unfortunately, to go to HW4. To do this efficiently, we're going to have to set up micro-factories or small factories in major metropolitan areas in order to do it efficiently. I do think over time, it’s going to make sense for us to convert ALL HW3 cars to HW4 because that’s what enables them to enter the Robotaxi fleet and have Unsupervised FSD.”

My #1 reason for disengaging FSD is I want to go a slightly different route but there’s no good way to do it. -Dropping a pin adds it as a stop. -Grok will sort of do it but add a stop. FSD disengagements are always navigational at this point. Ashok Elluswamy Elon Musk Tesla

It’s a bummer… but it was a MAJOR update from Tesla’s Q1 2026 earnings call today with Elon confirming that Hardware 3 will not be able to achieve Unsupervised FSD. “Unfortunately, Hardware 3, I wish it were otherwise, but Hardware 3 simply does not have the capabilities to achieve Unsupervised FSD. You know, we did think at one point it would have that, but relative to hardware, it has only 1/8 of the memory bandwidth of Hardware 4, and memory bandwidth is one of the key elements needed for Unsupervised FSD.” Tesla plans to fix it for customers who bought FSD by: A) Discounted trade-in toward a vehicle with full Hardware 4 OR B) Direct upgrade by replacing the HW3 computer and the cameras to bring the car to HW4 spec To make upgrades fast and scalable, Elon also told us that: “…we’re going to have to set up like, kind of microfactories or small factories in major metropolitan areas… So we basically need like many production lines to make the change.” He also said over time it makes sense to convert all HW3 cars to HW4 bc this is what will enable them to enter the Robotaxi fleet and have Unsupervised FSD. Sorry for HW3 Tesla owners… but thanks for the update Elon.

FSD 14 Lite cant stop crashing into things 💀💀😖😖😭 ***This is for testing purposes but now more than ever supervise your car when on v14 Lite…..don’t think you have a HW4 car that is close to sentience. HW3 needs upgrades and this is why Elon gave up on the hardware. Sorry ❤️

“The cameras need some kind of ability to be cleaned. This is not good for winter time driving!” Watch Tesla FSD v14 fail because its cameras can’t see in snowy conditions. FSD is a defective prototype with a serious hardware problem. It should be banned from public roads.

Tesla on FSD is smart enough to autonomously navigate drive-thrus. It stops at the window, waits for me to pay and grab my order, then proceeds when I’m finished. All by itself. It would be cool if one day Tesla added “drive-thru” as a destination option for FSD.

Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I would feel a bit better if a near flawless version of FSD existed 'in the wild' for several months before Austin happens, but that's just me. Tesla Model 3 HW4 FSD 13.2.8 Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy

Tesla FSD V14 Lite (HW3) drives me to my destination with zero interventions for over 2 hours. It handled busy traffic, country roads, pulling over for emergency vehicles, etc. This was the longest drive I've ever done with V14 Lite, and it exceeded my expectations. It is incredible for road trips. Millions of HW3 vehicles are about to come alive.
