This is huge and exactly what is needed for FSD. Elon Musk says future FSD software releases will remember your parking preferences when arriving at a destination. The only time I need to disengage FSD is when reversing into my garage to charge. Hopefully now it’ll remember where and how I want to park. This could also help people with dedicated parking spots at work, etc. I can’t wait to try it out, I know a lot of people were waiting for something like this.

Here’s what’s coming: • Pothole Avoidance • Tesla is going to expand reasoning to all behaviors beyond destination handling. • Elon says an update is coming that gives the car the ability to learn and default to your preferred spots over time. You’ll also be able to select exact parking destinations. • Tesla is working on bringing voice controls to FSD in a couple of months. • V15 is expected sometime in late 2026 to early 2017. This will be the model with ~10B parameters (10x more than V14). The rate of improvement is only accelerating. Ultimately, the end goal is Unsupervised FSD in customer cars. Tesla says when it does rollout, it will happen gradually in approved geographies, which make sense.

WARNING: ⚠️ ‼️ Please be very careful with FSD Supervised v14.1 Lite (HW3) when you get it, particularly with going in reverse. It’s called Supervised for a reason. This raises a really good question. Does HW3 even have the ability to allow this to be improved? If not, I’m afraid Tesla will need to add some very bold and obvious disclaimers for people using FSD. Reasoning is what really changed the game with FSD V14, and as they implement more of it, it’s going to be game over. Here’s a great example. FSD exits the parking lot of this coffee shop. If you zoom into the nav at the top right corner, you can see that it’s telling me to turn left (illegal to do so here). This has been a map error at this shop for a while. On all previous FSD versions, I’d disengage here as FSD would try to make the illegal left. With V14.2 reasoning, the car gathers context, understands it isn’t supposed to turn left here/ignores nav and triggers the re-route.

We did think at one point it would have that, but relative to HW4 — it has only 1/8th the memory bandwidth of HW4, and memory bandwidth is one of the key elements needed for Unsupervised FSD, and it's just generally a thing that's needed for Al. Forget UPL, it's the Devin's simple right hand turn that FSD needs to master first. I am blown away that software as good as FSD can make mistakes as simple but devastating as this. This is the second time in less than two weeks that FSD has tried to pull infront of a vehicle on a VERY SIMPLE right hand turn. The car drove pretty much flawlessly all day today (3~ hours of driving) but it ends the day with a move like this and it just takes all the confidence I have with FSD away in a simple move. I understand that the version of FSD we have today is not what will be used in Austin in June, but the fact that FSD is making decisions like this and 'full autonomy' is less than 3 months away - it's a bit concerning to me. I would feel a bit better if a near flawless version of FSD existed 'in the wild' for several months before Austin happens, but that's just me. Tesla Model 3 HW4 FSD 13.2.8 Tesla AI Ashok Elluswamy

It handled busy traffic, country roads, pulling over for emergency vehicles, etc. This was the longest drive I've ever done with V14 Lite, and it exceeded my expectations. It is incredible for road trips. Millions of HW3 vehicles are about to come alive.
