I'm working on a VO2 max calculator and have the first version up on my website. It'll take results from the 12-minute run test (Cooper test), 1.5-mile run test, and the Rockport Walk test to estimate your VO2 max and categorize you into percentiles based on age & sex....

TraningPeaks and Strava have a best mile time, but not 1.5 or 12min distance. Might add an option to just enter your mile time, multiply by 1.55 and estimate it.

Initially plugged in “8:30” and not “8.5” Might be worth having a time selection field vs. an open text field. Pretty simple and intuitive otherwise though! Excited to see how this grows

first of all - call it an "estimator" not calculator - given the variation in other factors (run-eco primarily) we know it is not a precise calculation but (rough) estimation. Second why not focus on estimating speed/functional capacity -> relevant for train-planning/race-pacing

So I plugged in my info and it gave me a VO2 max of 39.79 yet my Samsung watch tells me that I have a 36.3 VO2 max.

For stuff like this, there are several really good full stack apps with enough free monthly credits to build it. replit agent, I’m building an XC recruiting site now. What tech are you using right now?
