I'm working on visualizations of how I'm using my LayerProcGen framework in my game. Layers building upon each other is how I can generate highly contextual features (like paths based on path-finding) that seamlessly cross chunk boundaries. #ProcGen

Eventually I need to be able to record this into an AnimationClip I can edit instead of editing options in real-time. This is ultimately for a video about the LayerProcGen system, and also for use in documentation images. #ProcGen

Your dev diary stuff is as impressive as the procgen itself. You're crazy disciplined.

Thanks, glad you find it interesting! It's certainly not about discipline; I'm not a disciplined person. I just post when I have something I'd like to share. Which means my posting end up super irregular - bursts of stuff for a few weeks, then months of nothing. :)

I've seen games that were less exciting than your debug animation.

Awesome system and animation! I need to start documenting my algos as well, haha.

Would love to learn about them. :)

Such beautiful visualization on what's going on under the hood! Really nice.

This is rad

omg wow! I’ve had a concept similar to this in mind for years, but never got to implementing it. Great job!

amazing as always!
