I asked Claude Code and built a Dnsmasq DNS server that routes all regular DNS queries to Cloudflare but for home . microsoft . com it hijacks it and sends it to my own server Then I let Nginx respond to that doamin and show the Altavista Search sidebar, I had to rebuild the design from a video on YouTube because I couldn't find any actual archeological remains of it anymore Also Altavista Search of course doesn't exist anymore so it can't respond to queries either so I use a SERP API to query search results from Google and display them instead This is stuff I wouldn't even be close to doing before AI, I'd have no idea how to configure Dnsmasq to spoof queries like this The search engine results are proxied via my HTTP proxy so MSIE4 can open most sites (because old browsers don't support HTTPS and most JS!)

Grok in Tesla does English-Spanish translation with a couple of Uber passengers. I love Grok in Tesla! This is now one of the best parts of owning my Tesla. My car not only talks with me, but it talks to my Uber customers as well, in their own mother language. There are still a few quirks with Grok in Tesla, possibly due to there being no microphone for passengers in the back seat, so Grok may cut off and interrupt passengers mid-sentence sometimes, but I have noticed that even this is getting better week-to-week. But overall, Grok in Tesla is an absolute game changer and is making new fans of Tesla from people that have never been in one until getting into the back of mine.

In fact, over the past 4 years I've published 40+ videos (!) with James Douma on Tesla AI/FSD (they are all on a playlist on my YouTube channel). While I posted about investing topics, James posted about Tesla Autopilot and its hardware but in a way that was more thorough than anybody else. When I started posting YouTube videos years later, I invited him on my channel to hear his thoughts on Tesla Autopilot/FSD. It was a riveting discussion and I was surprised at how much I could learn from him. I invited him again for another interview on my channel, and once again I was floored by how much I was learning. How to Open the Model Y Rear Doors in an Emergency This is a issue I hear a lot about so I thought I'd do a brief informational video about how to open rear doors in a Tesla Model Y in case of emergency and the electric door opening switches are not functional. I hear this enough that I think this is a subject you might want to let passengers or family members know about. It's pretty easy, but if you haven't seen this before, it might not be obvious in an emergency. I do know Tesla is looking into a design chance for this but I am not sure when this will be incorporated.

This guy started out the drive throwing a ton of FUD at me for the first 4-5 minutes, but the funniest part of the video is the 2nd half of it, where you can literally hear the cognitive dissonance about FSD that has been comfortably planted in his head, not have any clue where to go when confronted with the reality of what he is experiencing right then, first hand. And just FYI, don't go too hard on this guy, he gave me a great rating and a nice tip. He seemed like a good dude, he's just been given bad data, and now he's got better data, the kind he experienced himself versus reading stuff online.

After waiting over an hour for a ride Tesla Tesla Robotaxi support tells me to go home.. 😣😭 They said that they don’t show any Robotaxis in Dallas. The rep went to get confirmation and they said they see the post from Ashok Elluswamy and Robotaxi but can confirm there is nothing showing in Dallas on their side…..go home. Robotaxi is not live in Dallas. Who do I believe? What do I do? Here’s the call …. This stuff is why people get frustrated with Tesla

At first I let it go — no sense debating with someone locked into that belief. But then he texted me later saying he’d done some 'research' and found that I was wrong, that Tesla doesn’t have radar. Robots will bring billionaire living to a lot more people. I had the blessing to eat with Guy Savoy several times. One of the best chefs in the world. He, and other top chefs taught me about the importance of getting fresh ingredients. Here is how robots and World Models will bring that and what do I mean by “everything as a service?” In three years I will have this conversation with my 1X Neo humanoid robot: “Hey Neo I want to upgrade our food to billionaire level.” “I can do that. Food as a service costs $500 a month. I will buy only hand grown fresh organic food and I will prepare amazing meals for you and your family.” Where is the supply chain for such food? Farmers’ markets where everything is fresh and organic. You gotta stop buying at grocery stores to upgrade your diet. “Hey Neo here are the keys to Tesla Robotaxi. And here is my credit card. Start up food as a service.” Neo will take an autonomous car to the market. “But Neo how do you know where to go?” “Well a guy on X did a video of the farmer’s market nearby.” “I watched it, and now know roughly the kinds of things I can get there.” We are too late to start today, the market is closed now, but we can start next week. Look at this video the way Grok does. I am playing humanoid today. In one visit my Neo will ingest all of this into its World Model. In the second visit it will get even better.
