Just because Jacob (or anyone for that matter) has never seen a player get FT’s off a loose ball foul during a jump ball, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. Here are just a couple recent examples I’m sure Wolves & Nuggets fans will remember. Vid #1: This season, MIN vs DEN, tie game, 19.5 sec left in 2OT. McDaniels grabs Jokic’s right arm, and pulls it down, preventing Jokic from competing for the Jump Ball. McDaniels is correctly called for a LBF, and Jokic attempts Bonus FTs. (Attached below is the NBA L2M Report for this play as well, so we can see why it was graded as a Correct Call (CC)) Side Note: If you didn’t see this 2OT MIN vs DEN game from April 1, you should go watch it. Jokic had a 61pt triple double in their loss, and Ant, NAW, & Randle were spectacular as well. Vid #2: Last season, MIN vs DEN. Ant was called for a LBF on MPJ during this Jump Ball. Denver was in Bonus, so they went to the other end, and MPJ shot his Bonus FTs.

HOW TO DODGE EVERY SKILLSHOT IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS SO YOU GET ACCUSED OF SCRIPTING - Script in your mind - Draw out how far, wide, fast an ability is relative to your character thats all the easy stuff that I have been preaching already you can find in my free discord for improvement however one thing that League coaches fail to explain is the human aspect of it every game you play in League of Legends, every single person in the game is constantly building their profile in a game on how they operate both sides are constantly trying to mind f*ck each other to land and dodge skillshots. I have broken it down into layers the three layers to dodging are layer 0 - no dodge (unconscious) layer 1 - dodge (conscious) layer 2 - no dodge (conscious) Notice how in the clip in a challenger game below Olaf shoots a layer 0 skillshot, but because I am playing at a layer 1, I dodge his axe. Now the Thresh hook gets a little deeper bare with me, because I built the profile that I will dodge an ability in that moment, he thinks that I won't dodge and is shooting a hook at a layer 2 thinking that I will dodge at a layer 2 also. However I know that he knows I will likely not juke and walk straight so I make the conscious choice to dodge AGAIN playing at a layer 1 resulting in me dodging the hook, of course he could be accounting for my tumble but the point still stands. There are many deeper things to consider like zoning abilities, environment etc but you generally want to always play at a layer 1 until you gain more data in a game to adapt. However one thing that always stays true throughout my 13 years of playing League is in teamfights that have gone on for awhile, human beings tend to panic and default to layer 0 of shooting abilities, so if your able to operate at layer 1 as a teamfight progresses, you will likely dodge that one final skillshot that wins you the game. study the saskio way

This type of goal makes coaches cream their pants. Look at this set face off play for the game winner winner earls on main chili chicken dinner. Let’s break it down: 👇 #1 starts with a face off win. Low to high. #2 D to D (spread the defense out) and find Scheifele who rolled off his check at the dot and found space on a wheel route behind the net to find open ice on the other side of the zone. (Dot width). Aka Get lost in space. Create confusion. #3 Morrissey distributes the puck back down to MS who then corrals the pill and surveys his options while getting his toe caps back down ice towards the net, at worst presenting as a shooting option himself. #4 And the key to this whole play? Offense away from the puck. Kyle Connor recognizes time and space and gets available for a one timer by putting himself in a shooting position leaving the slot and fanning out. Let us take a moment to look at the root cause of how violence escalated from 3rd of May until now: 1. this is perfectly representation of what i been arguing for with Maxey-McCain lineups, specifically with Joel Embiid these are your best 3 offensive weapons, involving your 2 best shooters, but everyone is so dynamic it fundamentally makes offense broken Maxey shooting + penetration on left side, even reggie miller commentating points out how much space Maxey created off that drive, he then kicks it to Embiid Embiid as a hub here can act as a scorer or playmaker, from the very middle of the floor, he had the 3PT shot there, or coulda even forced it in the middle, does extra pass to McCain (note that Maxey n McCain are BOTH simultaneously one pass away, defense doesn't know who's getting it) pass to McCain, who no matter what he's shooting ALWAYS draws a hard closeout, that closeout was so hard due to his spacing gravity that he then unlocks the drive, and he's such a strong finisher he draws the defense with gravity LITERALLY just how Maxey did to start off the play kicks to Embiid, process is now backwards, who again has BOTH shot + drive into middy with a smaller defender, kicks it ONE MORE to Maxey, who hits the 3 either McCain or Maxey both penetration + kick + shooting threats PG in one corner for spacing Barlow in one corner for cutting beautiful play, coming from most likely our most potent offensive lineup. VJ can slot into the McCain/Maxey/PG/Barlow role as well, although his self creation is a little weaker than McCain/Maxey, i'd rather him act in the PG/Barlow role deff not a set play that Nurse runs too, he doesn't have this creativity. this shit was prolly lowry when they saw they was on the lineup together all in all, it perfectly showcases why McCain-Maxey is such an elite offensive duo, that we need more of. as i've been saying since LAST YEAR.

4 separate handball incidents Connor Barron- • Gets the ball hit at him and accidentally hits his arm while his body is turned • The ref doesn’t see it • Nobody claims it and the game plays on • There’s another 2 phases of play, including Aberdeen TOUCHING the ball • VAR pull it all the way back to disallow the goal Lawrence Shankland- • Intentionally controls the ball with his arm • Hearts go up the park and score • Shankland barely celebrates and openly says “it’s a handball” about 5 times • VAR “check” it and allow the goal • Then Shankland celebrates it Gogic and Trusty handballs- • After getting a penalty vs Celtic for Sterling’s “handball” they set the bar that anything going on target, hand away from the body, accidental or not, it’s a penalty. Also the fact Dundee conceded a penalty for a handball offence with a pass going away from goal the same day 😂 The ONLY thing that’s the same in all these incidents is they benefit any team up against Rangers. Don’t care if we win games etc, the blatant cheating needs called out !!!!!

Blog 265 Diamondbacks first pitch ◦6-9: Gym, called parents, posted walking videos ◦10: Reunited with MikeyBets and felt complete ◦10:45: Arrived at Chase Stadium and was welcomed by the awesome Diamondbacks staff (shoutout Casey Wilcox) and walked right through the dugout and onto the field ◦Also huge thank you to Mike Dellosa (VP of ticket sales) who answered my LinkedIn dm and helped get set this all up ◦10:55: MikeyBets setup his camera in the Diamondbacks dugout which was hilarious to watch (he was viciously hungover) ◦11: Met with lots of the Diamondbacks and A’s players and coaches while they warmed up on Chase Field. Frank was in his element cracking jokes and talking baseball with the fellas ◦Everyone was incredibly welcoming, humble, and fun. The Diamondbacks manager, Torey Lovullo, called Frank a fucking legend ◦We crushed walk 277 circling the field pregame as Frank tracked the Mets game ◦11:30: Practiced the first pitch. Prime reason why you shouldn’t play star players in a pre season game. 7-8 pre season games is beyond dumb. Playing guys for what? To have minor league guys run around looking to make an impression? If I was a GM I’d let my core of 5-8 players maybe play 2 exhibitions. I’d sacrifice them being a bit rusty games 1-3 in the regular season vs risking serious injury from some dipshit running around like a chicken with his chin cut off. And I’m not faulting those guys either (the guys trying to make the team) they have a job to do too. Jobs are won within these games. But Makar takes one up high last night, Cooley gets stapled. This 2d and 10 play in the 2Q of the #Eagles-Chiefs game caught my eye live because it was one of a few attempted deep shots, and while Jalen Hurts may have been expected to pull the trigger to DeVonta Smith up top on the dagger/go double move, I questioned the route concepts and spacing on my latest podcast episode with Mike Sielski. I’ve since asked a few impartial sources that are more experts on this sort of thing, and while they both qualified their answers with not knowing intent, etc., they thought, yes, Hurts could have thrown it, but the Chiefs also got him off the first read, and still had safety help over top, although it looked like Smith got him to turn his hips at the break. Jahan Dotson was the No. 2 at the bottom, and he should be separating when Hurts moves off No. 1. Chiefs had him covered, though, in man. Normally, that route can be more intermediate and/or over the middle. Doesn’t have to be, but another source agreed you’d like to have at least an intermediate No. 3 underneath in Hurts’ line of vision. Clearly that wasn’t the case here. Hurts had all sorts of time and no obvious options after 1 and 2. Calcaterra stayed in to chip, and Barkley to block to set up the shot. All makes sense. Perhaps Calcaterra as the No. 3 could have kept going into the void over the middle on an option route? Nothing egregious here. No easy answers. But thought I’d provide more analysis on a play that I questioned live and in the podcast. Either way, the Eagles are struggling to get guys open downfield deep and on intermediate routes and, at least on Sunday, Hurts maybe missed a few early chances. He and Smith told me after the game that they thought they were “chasing it” too often in the first half. Kevin Patullo’s game planning was more conservative in the 2H and that ended up being enough. But he probably knows it isn’t sustainable.

Lots of people are sleeping on Quinn Priester... I have a feeling this dude is going to make an impact with the major league club next year. Let’s talk about it. Adding velo to the sinker (SI) has been a constant emphasis since coming over via trade, and we already saw a minor increase last year. Avg SI velo (2024) 📈 • w/ PIT: 93.0 mph • w/ BOS: 93.8 mph NOTE: Remove his first two appearances where there wasn’t really any changes made, and his avg SI velo now sits at 94.2 mph. Games where SI sat 94+ mph 📈 • w/ PIT: 2 (of 23) • w/ BOS: 5 (of 10) He’s comfortably hit 96 and topped 97 mph for Worcester (seen in video attached), and has been grinding on a velo program this winter as well. Other top velos, just for fun… • FF: 96.3 mph* • SL: 92.3 mph • CU: 83.5 mph* • CH: 92 mph* • FC: 94.4 mph* *indicates top velo was w/ BOS — On top of this, we all know that Bres/Bailey & Co. love their whiff and secondary offerings. Priester took a huge step forward last year in both of these categories. These 2 key throwing drills focus on body control and following throws. Many players from youth through HS don’t have good body control to transition from an athletic move (play) into an accurate throw. They also don’t follow their throws. ** Instead they cut themselves off and lose all momentum and direction to target. Following a throw improves “carry” or the ability of a baseball to travel further with the same effort put into the throw. It also reduces stress on the arm. Lastly, when a player follows their throw correctly, it improves accuracy. ** Notice player 1 (LHP/1B) cuts off his follow just a bit compared to player two (C). Key: The faster you sprint into the throw, the more the follow will begin to happen naturally. Both players shown played in college after graduation and both had very strong college careers. These drills, as well as many others, should be done regularly to help players become elite throwers and significantly improve game success. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒕 𝑹𝑨𝑰𝑵𝑺 𝒊𝒕 𝑷𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑺⛑️ 𝐺𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝐴𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑙~𝑃𝑎𝑟𝑡 2 😇🙏 After a botched summer assignment to a new collegiate league in Texarkana, TX that saw Grant Scholzen sleeping in his car and no host family provided as promised, Grant came home and waited patiently for a summer league call. The MGF Marshalls (who by the way is one of the best run orgs in the country, more on that in a future post!) called and in his 1st game and 2nd AB with a 1-2 count in a left on left matchup with the shadows in play, Grant took a 92 mph FB off the shoulder and into the right side of his face. The only time in 5 years w/o a face shield on his helmet, it’s the only time he’s been hit above the shoulder. Was watching the game on live stream, and it was hard to tell where it actually hit him? Grant immediately started walking to the dugout and I couldn’t figure out why he was doing that, because he should be either staying at home plate gathering his bearings or going to 1B. What you don’t see is the catcher and pitcher who are close friends of Grant’s growing up facing each other in HS and teammates throughout their CBA summer/fall travel ball experiences, looking on with what just happened? The pitcher and catcher who I’m close with as well, are in shock and the pitcher then walks into the opposing dugout to see if Grant is okay? Grant was okay, but he wasn’t okay?! That helpless feeling again when you’re not there and your son has something almost tragic happen?! I was calling friends who I knew were at the game and they said he had ice on his cheek in the dugout. After the game Grant was going to drive 4 hours home and get home at 3am to attend his cousin’s church service to listen to him speak at his 2 year church missionary farewell. He got home late as I said and woke up yesterday with his face extremely swollen and his eye already black, so we saw his uncle at church, who is a pediatric dentist and he scheduled a CT Scan with an oral surgeon buddy. Grant went in this morning for the scan and to our surprise, NO broken bones. Thank you to the countless people who text and reached out with worry and wanting updates. The baseball circle is small, but big at the same time and is a comforter! Once again his mother Heidi was working overtime to protect her kids, just like my daughter’s car accident 3 weeks ago. When it rains it pours! #SwarmingBees 🐝
