Building Construction (Timings) Regulations for #Pune. In the ongoing winter session of the Vidhan Sabha, I raised the "Point of Information" and demanded construction regulations (SOP) for Pune City. Pune is expanding rapidly, and construction activities are booming at an unprecedented rate throughout the city. Construction work, especially during nighttime, has become a pressing concern for local residents, senior citizens, and children. It was brought to my notice that #Pune Municipal Corporation has not established specific regulations regarding permissible hours for construction work, despite directives from the Supreme Court. There is also a lack of guidelines on the precautions and care needed to ensure minimal disturbance to the surrounding citizens during these activities. A man who was sitting on the supporting concrete wall of the bridge, and was nearly struck by the falling vehicle, jumped into the water out of fear of being hit. Eyewitnesses quickly sprang into action, helping to rescue the man from the submerged vehicle. The situation is still ongoing at this moment, 6:43 PM, as crews work to recover the vehicle from the water.
