The track reached number 11 on the UK Singles Chart and helped establish the band’s early swagger, built around Liam Gallagher’s laid back vocal and Noel Gallagher’s melodic nods to 60s pop. Known for its loose groove and tongue in cheek references, it became a key part of their first era and later appeared in documentaries and retrospectives charting Oasis’s rise through the mid 90s Britpop scene. Shakermaker remains a fan favourite and an essential piece of their early catalogue.
