Chiropractic was born [that is how scientific this BS is]. Chiropractors dont realize that their practice evolved from the spirited mind of a looney. In 1906, Palmer was prosecuted under the new medical arts law in Iowa for practicing medicine without a license, and had to go to jail. Chiropractors propose that mechanical disorders of joints especially the spine affect health and manipulation (spinal adjustments) improves health - this is of course nonsense. Manipulation of joints and soft tissue (like in this video) are also performed. Apart from the spine, chiropractors also manipulate the patient and family into parting with their hard-earned money and they do it pretty well. Chiropractic practice is termed an "unscientific cult" [much like Ayurveda and Homeopathy]. Multiple systematic reviews and meta-analysis have shown that chiropractic practices have no [conclusive] clinically relevant benefits and can sometimes cause real harm [at times severe harm] to patients. It is frequently associated with mild to moderate adverse effects, with serious or fatal complications in rare cases. Several deaths have been associated with this technique. In Kerala, apparently you can now call a coconut harvester the same way you book a cab. A uniformed professional arrives on a cycle, equipped, trained, and ready to work. We often speak about India’s services economy in terms of IT exports or global capability centres. But we’re digitising even our most traditional, hyper-local services. There was another detail from this video that stayed with me. The young man who climbed those trees was from Chhattisgarh. When I began my career in our Group’s steel business, many of of our associates working in our furnace and foundry shops had come from states like Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, travelling far from home in search of opportunity. Today, it seems those same aspirations are finding avenues not just in heavy industry, as in the past, but in new-age, tech-enabled services. People moving, adapting and rising are a powerful economic force. And also a force for integration. As long as they’re welcomed by the host states!

I fully agree with former President Thabo Mbeki that the problem of high levels of unemployment cannot be solely attributed to undocumented (illegal) immigrants; fortunately, there is no one who has made such a claim. That is not even a claim made by the leaders of the protest actions, if we closely and carefully listen to them. What they are claiming is that uncontrolled and illegal migration makes it difficult for South African job seekers. This claim is factually correct. I respectfully disagree with the former President that illegal migration has nothing to do with unemployment. It is a fact that undocumented immgrants are a source of cheap and unprotected labour, what is called unregulated employment. It is also a fact, that this source of employment directly results in labour market distortions and displacement of South African job seekers. It is also a fact that the most affected job seekers by the labour market displacement are the low-skilled and unskilled workers. Unemployed population in South Africa consists of a mix of skills; which can be broken down into three main categories. The first is HIGHLY SKILLED & GRADUATES UNEMPLOYMENT, this is unemployed graduates who struggle to find entry-level positions that require prior experience. The second is SEMI-SKILLED UNEMPLOYMENT, these are job seekers that have completed secondary education (matric) or specialised vocational training, but their qualifications often do not align with the specific technical trades or digital roles that employers are actively seeking. The third is LOW-SKILLED AND UNSKILLED UNEMPLOYMENT, which constitues a large portion of the unemployed workforce and has low levels of formal education, and are at a severe disadvantage in a modernising economy that increasingly requires advanced or technical capabilities. One does not have to be a rocket scientist to know that the low-skilled and un-skilled category of the unemployed is severely displaced by a labour market that is open to undocumented immigrants. It allows organizations to rent designated streetlight poles: poles built, owned, and maintained by Mobile taxpayers to display banners promoting public events and observances. City officials have stated publicly that the program is viewpoint-neutral, as required by the First Amendment. A private person or organization recently used that program to hang "National Pride Month" banners on Water Street. The city approved the application and installed the banners on public infrastructure. I serve on the Visit Mobile board, the city's lodging-tax-funded tourism bureau, which also promotes these events on its publicly-supported website and I raised my concerns there as well. But I didn't stop at objecting. I acted. Using the exact same program, following the exact same process, I submitted my own banner application. It reads: National Child Awareness Month — Protect Our Children from Gender Ideology. The design has been received. I have been told it is going to be honored. I am calling on the City of Mobile to honor my duly submitted banner application. It was made in good faith, through the proper process, under the same policy that approved the Pride Month banners. There is no legal, procedural, or policy basis to treat it differently. I understand that following my banner, this policy may be ending. That's perfect. If that’s the case, let it be said that what ended gender indoctrination banners being affixed to our city property was a call to prayer, a banner asking God to protect the children of Mobile from gender ideology. A pastor submitted a prayer for our children, and the city decided it could no longer allow extremist indoctrination campaigns on public poles. That is not a loss. That is a victory for every family in this city. I will take that outcome every single day of the week. But there is a deeper issue here that goes beyond banners and policies. It is the question of who is actually at the table when decisions like this get made, not just at the City of Mobile, but at Mobile County and every board, bureau, and commission that makes decisions in the name of the people of this community. Visit Mobile and boards like it should be filled with people who look like Mobile. Not just in terms of race or background but, in terms of who this city actually is at its core. Where are the steel workers? Where are the mama bears who are fighting every single day to protect their kids from an agenda they never asked for? Where are the Little League dads coaching third base on a Saturday morning? Where is the praying grandmother, the one whose intercession and quiet encouragement have sustained this community through every hard season it has ever faced? They aren't there because more of them need to be appointed by the City of Mobile, by Mobile County, and by every appointing authority that shapes the direction of this community. The voice for the health of the nuclear family is radically underrepresented on the Visit Mobile board and on boards like it across this city and this county. It produces exactly the kind of decisions we are now debating, decisions made in the name of a community that was never actually consulted. No more elbow tendonitis and other chronic injuries from overuse We can thank Wollf’s Law and Davis’s Law Wolff’s Law states that bone tissue remodels and strengthens itself in response to the mechanical stresses and loads placed upon it. Davis’s Law states that soft tissues (like ligaments, tendons, and fascia) adapt by lengthening or shortening based on the sustained stresses or positions they are held in over time. The fitness industry is full of examples of crab mentality. Crab mentality is the attitude where people in a group try to pull down or sabotage anyone who is trying to improve or escape or problem solve, like crabs in a bucket pulling each other back down.

U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has responded to this week’s “appalling” statement by President Donald J. Trump during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in which he stated that NATO Forces had stayed “a little off the front lines” in Afghanistan. “We’ve never needed them. We have never really asked anything of them,” Trump said regarding NATO, despite the United States being the only member of the alliance to ever invoke Article 5 after the attacks on 9/11. In his response to the statement by President Trump, Starmer stated today during an interview: “Let me start by paying tribute to the 457 of our armed services who lost their lives in Afghanistan. I will never forget their courage, their bravery and the sacrifice that they made for their country. There are many also who were injured, some with life-changing injuries. Yesterday I was opportune to be part of a Town Hall event organised by Channels Television anchored by SeunOkin Channels tv to discuss the Tax Reform Bills currently before the national assembly. The bills have seen significant opposition coming from some northern leaders and the NGF, especially on the issue of VAT revenue sharing among the states with many calling for the bills to be withdrawn by the President on account of this singular issue. Personally, I feel that part of the opposition from the bills stems from ignorance of the actual provisions contained in them or misconception of some aspects of the bill. However, when we look at the amount of VAT revenue that is triggering this whole haggling, you'll realise how precarious our revenue situation is. A dispassionate look at the data is essential to guide our positions on the necessity of these tax reforms. By the end of 2024, we may hit a record VAT collection of N6 trillion but that's just around $3.5 billion. In many states, their share of VAT revenue from FAAC in a year is bigger than their entire IGR! How on earth do you develop with such a revenue profile? This shows clearly that we need to reorganise and re-engineer our finances for optimum performance. This is what these bills seek to do. Although, increasing revenue collection is actually one of the intentions of these reforms but it is not the MAJOR reason. The major aim is to remove all the cogs and bottlenecks that affect growth and profitability of businesses in Nigeria by reducing their tax burden and exempting the small businesses from paying income tax. The vast majority of Nigerians who are poor would also be exempt from paying income tax. We're talking about 90% of Nigerians here! In other climes, any piece of legislation that brings overall tax relief to low income earners is always a popular bill with massive support. It is therefore bizarre that some persons are up in arms in Nigeria to oppose this kind of landmark legislation and they claim they're fighting for the masses. Data and logic should guide our positions and not sentiments or mischievous ignorance. Any reservations held by any individual or group about any section of the bills should be presented to the NASS during the public hearings and not calling for the withdrawal of the bills. Let's be serious in this country please.

I do not know who the guy is on the podcast with Raj Shamani, but he is absolutely wrong. There seems to be a section of "health influencers" who fearmonger the public on "dangers of whey protein or protein supplementation." Ammonia production is not a side effect of whey protein metabolism, but is a normal metabolic product of any protein metabolism. Ammonia is natural, generated as a by-product of protein ingestion through the breakdown of amino acids. Of the amino acids, glutamate is the one that has maximal free ammonia generation. In normal healthy persons, excessive ammonia generation is handled by the body and it does not affect brain function. This is done via the "urea cycle" in the liver: In patients with liver disease such as acute liver failure or chronic liver failure, the excess ammonia cannot be cleared out by the weak/failing liver or utilized in the muscles (because of muscle loss in liver patients) and affects brain functioning, leading to a condition called hepatic encephalopathy. This does not happen if you are healthy and taking additional protein. In fact, animal meats are more ammonia generating than plant-based or dairy-based protein and in those chronic liver failure patients with recurrent or persistent ammonia related brain dysfunction, the dietary advise is to limit animal meats and include more or switch to dairy+plant-based protein to keep ammonia generation low. Whey protein and scoops of additional whey protein to target protein requirement is perfectly safe and does not affect brain function or make the person slow like what is discussed in this video. But this video featuring a Cardiologist is amusingly nonsense. There is no study from Boston (from a "University?" - how vague!) that says 7-days water fasting reduces risk of cancer (what cancer?) by 70%. And there is no proof that fasting kills cancer cells in humans. Here is what fasting does to cancers in humans. Nothing. Fasting is now become a sort of religion-like cult for wellness influencers to rake in views and engagement. From a scientific standpoint, there are no realistically good human studies to prove anything from fasting that benefits cancers. I know, I know, "autophagy" and all that. Autophagy: Autophagy is the natural, conserved degradation of the cell that removes unnecessary or dysfunctional components. Yes, its a legit term and all. But in the context of cancer reduction and fasting in humans, it sounds like "immunity boosting," another wellness fraud term. The effects of fasting on cancer cells are all based on MOUSE studies, and none explicitly translated to humans. I am extremely concerned at how young Nigerians are losing hope about the future of our country. Every time they come to have a conversation with me about bad governance, fraudulent elections, and resultant hardship being faced by citizens, I deeply feel sad about the situation. Yesterday evening, I received yet another group of youths from across the 19 Northern states, led by Alh. Adamu Bappa Gombe. They were worried about how their votes don't count and how bad governance and policies impact negatively on their standard of living and private businesses. I have continued to encourage them not to give up. I told them the change they desire can only come through the ballot. I reminded them that they have a responsibility to mobilize their fellow young people to keep participating in the process of leadership recruitment through elections. I reminded them that the change they desire cannot be attained by voter apathy and that 25% to 30% voter turnout in every election cycle is not encouraging. I challenged them to make a huge difference by influencing massive participation in 2027. On our part, we shall not relent until Nigeria is recovered from anti democratic forces. -AA

Every time they come to have a conversation with me about bad governance, fraudulent elections, and resultant hardship being faced by citizens, I deeply feel sad about the situation. Yesterday evening, I received yet another group of youths from across the 19 Northern states, led by Alh. Adamu Bappa Gombe. They were worried about how their votes don't count and how bad governance and policies impact negatively on their standard of living and private businesses. I have continued to encourage them not to give up. I told them the change they desire can only come through the ballot. I reminded them that they have a responsibility to mobilize their fellow young people to keep participating in the process of leadership recruitment through elections. I reminded them that the change they desire cannot be attained by voter apathy and that 25% to 30% voter turnout in every election cycle is not encouraging. I challenged them to make a huge difference by influencing massive participation in 2027. On our part, we shall not relent until Nigeria is recovered from anti democratic forces. -AA

This report commissioned and endorsed by the Met Police is a disgrace. It attacks something it calls ‘whiteness’ - which is apparently bad. And it asserts that anti-black outcomes are ‘built in’ to the police. Extreme identity-based grievance ideology is divisive, inaccurate and destructive. If implemented, it would make the public less safe - including the black community. The report also attacks stop and search - which saves lives, removes thousands of weapons from our streets, and protects the very communities most affected by violent crime. Stop and search in London is used proportionately to the offending population and the success rate is about the same across ethically groups. There is no justification for weakening it. The way to rebuild trust in policing is through results – tackling crime, delivering fairness, and ensuring every officer is supported to do their job professionally and without fear or favour. Everyone should just be treated equally by the police before the law. This report contains a lot of dangerous nonsense.
