In Django Unchained (2012), when the camera locks onto Stephen during the LeQuint Dickey scene, he doesn’t blink once. He stares straight into Django’s eyes and straight through the audience, making the moment even more unnerving.

In Django Unchained (2012), Leonardo DiCaprio accidentally cut his hand after smashing a glass during Calvin Candie’s scene. He kept acting, used the pain to make the moment even darker, and Tarantino liked the take so much that he kept it in the film.

Samuel L. Jackson designed the look of Stephen in Django Unchained (2012). He demanded the character have shaky hands and jaundiced eyes to physically manifest the internal rot of a man who turned against his own people for power.

In this scene in Django Unchained, when Django explains his name he says the "D" is silent and the man replies, "I know." This is because Franco Nero himself, played the lead actor in Django (1966).

In the final scene of Memories of Murder, Detective Park stares straight into the camera—Bong Joon-ho’s way of confronting the real killer, certain he’d be watching from the audience.

Quentin Tarantino wrote the role of Stephen in Django Unchained (2012) specifically for Samuel L. Jackson. Tarantino told him he had created "the most hateful character in cinematic history" and wouldn't let anyone else play the part.

The more heat Jaxson Dart takes, the more he looks like Rocky Balboa…! He doesn’t run from the fight. He walks straight into it.

Why is no one talking about Ranveer Singh’s voice modulation during the scene where he kills Khanani? The way he says “Kaisi halat karenge” and the fear in Khanani’s eyes right after makes the moment even more powerful.

Jonah Hill gets one of the funniest cameos in DJANGO UNCHAINED (2012). The KKK scene should be menacing, then these idiots start arguing over the bags on their heads and the movie completely pulls the rug out from under them.

i love how nick dgaf when bogo said ‘people don’t even think u should be partners’ bc he doesn’t care what others think. but the moment he says FAIL & i will SPLIT YOU UP he’s THROWN. that SCARES him. BAD. so he locks in & stares INTENTLY at the pamphlet. failure isn’t an option.

Johnny Carson understood something most people don't: You can't plan your funniest moments. When Ed Ames accidentally hit the cowboy cutout in the worst possible place, Carson didn't rush to save the moment. He let the audience laugh. He waited. Then he made it even funnier. That's what made Carson so good. He knew when to speak and when to let the moment breathe. Sometimes the best reaction is knowing when not to interrupt the moment. Could you have kept a straight face?
