Karnataka CM DK Shivakumar gets astonishing welcome during his North Karnataka visit. ◾DKS first visit outside Bangalore as CM is to Kalyana Karnataka, hyper-speed development for the most backward region of KA loading! Looks like CM has taken Beyond Bengaluru initiative seriously to prove “Congress Model” of development. Primary focus is inclusive development for all! ◾CM DK Shivakumar and Govt of Karnataka are considering a 600km Bidar-Bengaluru Business Corridor. After decades, a very big step to improve infrastructure for Kalyana Karnataka and connectivity to Bengaluru! All the best to this step.

#WATCH | Bengaluru, Karnataka: On Karnataka Leadership Row, LoP in Karnataka Assembly & BJP MLA, R Ashoka says, "This is a very, very crucial stage in Karnataka politics. The fight between Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar has turned into a street fight. The Congress High Command is weak. The half-term power-sharing needs to be implemented, as demanded by DK Shivakumar, but Siddaramaiah is not leaving... For the last year, there has been no development, no coordination between CM and DCM, no ministers are working, everyone is sitting at home and not even coming to the Vidhan Soudha... The whole state is confused about who is the CM... Today we have a meeting of BJP and JDS..."

I want to assure this House, whatever the Finance Commission has recommended, I follow it to the last word. In 13th Finance Commission for period 2010-11 to 2014-15, Karnataka received Rs 61,691 crores. In 14th Finance Commission for period 2015-16 to 2019-20, Karnataka received Rs 1,51,309 crores. For current 15th Finance Commission from 2020-21 till 31st march 2026, in four years Karnataka has already received Rs 1,29,854 crores. It is estimated that at the end of the fifth year, Karnataka would’ve received Rs 1,74,339 crores. This is regards to tax devolution. If you look at Grants-in Aid, in 10 years of UPA, Karnataka received Rs 60,779.84 crores. In 9 years of Modi Govt, Karnataka received Rs 2,08,832.02 crores. Over and above that, Additional Grants-in-Aid of Rs 18,005 crores has been budgeted this year for release for Karnataka. In our 10 years, Karnataka is getting Rs 2, 26,837 crores. Karnataka has also received Rs 6,280 crores as 50-year Interest Free loan. Where is Karnataka being denied money? Where is Karnataka receiving less money? - Smt Nirmala Sitharaman in Lok Sabha.

Federalism operates on mutual respect. Did Karnataka ever interfere or politicize when a tragic stampede claimed 41 lives during Tamil Nadu CM Sri Vijay’s election rally in Karur? We respected state boundaries. The Hanur forest incident occurred inside Karnataka. Though Tamil-speaking, the deceased were residents of Karnataka. Karnataka has an active magisterial inquiry underway to establish the facts. We do not need unsolicited interference in our internal governance. #RamalingaReddy #Hanur #Karnataka #TamilNadu #CMVijay
