I haven’t had insurance for years. It was useless for me. That may bite me at some point, but I’ve saved thousands at this point by not having it.

My buddy had a motorcycle wreck his insurance he had paid 1.4 million of his hospital and was paying for all of his therapy he had a case worker call him and changed his plan said it would be better now it's not covering his physical therapy anymore. Corruption.

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine. It truly defies logic...

It's not a scam if you get an illness which costs 200k+ to treat. It is a scam for a lot of minor stuff and basic tests. There should be a balance between the UK and USA style systems. Minor stuff the individual covers, the big stuff the government helps with.

Same thing happened to my wife over some scans. Insurance in CA is a scam.

The insured taxpayer is paying for the discount for uninsured.

It costs less for me to go out of network for imaging or whatever and lie about my insurance status than it is to actually use the insurance.
