I would almost argue the opposite in that it will actually save you tokens. Most interactive commands and the ones i showed in the video (neovim, git commit) work as a pass through and purely execute the command, the LLM is not involved. They have no output, if they did then it would be passed to the LLM as context. This would improve the context the LLM has in my eyes. Previously (and in other agents still) interactive commands will hang and maybe even time out. This can cause the agent to try multiple wrong things and actually burn tokens while being a worse experience.

UX Improvement to Gemini CLI interactive shells 🧑‍💻 As of v0.18.0+ it is now much easier to tell when an interactive shell is awaiting user input by a set loading phrase letting you know so 🔃 You can press Ctrl+f in Gemini CLI to focus/interact with shell commands that require user input (git commit, nvim, npm create etc.). Previously the loading phrases would continue spinning making it seem that Gemini CLI was thinking when in reality it was awaiting input. This was the case in one of Theo - t3.gg recent videos where it seemed like Gemini CLI was working away for 55+ mins when really it wanted his input 😵‍💫 I've added the custom loading phrase, hopefully this helps!

New week new demo! Today I want to showcase the CLI to control the Superlogical multiplexer. The CLI is an extremely powerful tool for automation and hooking into other tools like editors, agentic coding tools, and more. And, it's super fun! Everything you can do in the GUI, you can do via the CLI. Actually, you can do more in the CLI. You can create sessions, run commands, make splits, move things around, change focus, simulate any input device (key/mouse/etc.), wait on scripts, and more. There are a couple unique parts of Rex I'm showing off here too: our streaming event system that any client can hook into (or script). And the terminal-specific API to retrieve information like a JSON object of the running process. I hope this demo lets your imagination run free of where you might slot something like this into your existing tools.

Every commit you've ever made was Git hashing a snapshot and filing it by fingerprint. Branches are just labels pointing at one of those objects. Today we launch the Brickken CLI: a command-line interface for agentic transaction workflows. The developer journey is direct: CLI → x402 → ERC-8004 → Token Deploy What this means in practice: • A developer or the AI agent installs the CLI. • The agent pays for Brickken API calls through x402. • The agent registers its identity through ERC-8004. • The agent deploys and manages an ERC-20 token.
