I know it’s not chromium but is it still possible to support chrome extensions? I’ve seen other WebKit browsers do this. Unfortunately I can’t live without 1Password in the browser.

I actually had an idea of an “inbox” where I can connect multiple message/notification sources. Because I don’t want to have 6-7 tabs opened at all times, to stay connected. Then I realized I didn’t want to have another app window opened on my computer. So I decided to make a browser with no AI, better UI, built-in inbox. That’s why I started on this one. I think I’m going to continue, what do you think?

DFIR analysts who use macOS as their daily driver deserve free and native forensic tooling. Hermes just made its in-app browser a whole lot more useful. You can now keep multiple browser tabs open inside Hermes Desktop instead of every new page replacing the one you were already using. And that matters more than it sounds. Because this is not just about “having tabs.” It means Hermes can work across multiple pages without forcing you to keep losing your place every time you open the next thing. Research one source, keep it open, open another tab, compare them side by side, and keep moving. Check a few products before buying something. Look at multiple hotel or travel options at once. Keep a YouTube tutorial open in one tab while Hermes looks through docs or another page in the next. And because this lives inside Hermes Desktop, you are not limited to one basic browser view either. You can keep multiple tabs open. You can view two pages side by side. You can stack them top and bottom. You can even run a four-panel view when you want several pages open at once. So the browser inside Hermes is starting to feel a lot more like a real workspace instead of one page you keep replacing. There is also some nice polish that comes with it. Browser tabs now label themselves based on the page, and the address bar behaves more cleanly while pages are loading. And remember, this is the same in-app browser Hermes can already read, click through, type in, scroll, and annotate. So this is not just a prettier browser. I got so tired of everyone raving about how great cmux is. Panes this. Browser that. EXHAUSTING. And that's because I'm on Linux, where we get none of the coolest toys. So...I built it myself. And my God. You were right. It's amazing. Introducing Limux, a a GPU-accelerated terminal workspace manager for Linux, powered by Ghostty's rendering engine, with split panes, tabbed workspaces, and a built-in browser. i got chatgpt atlas (OpenAI's web browser) so you don’t have to here's what i found interesting in 15 mins: 1️⃣ agent mode is sick. it completes things like ordering coffee or filling out a tsa precheck forms on my browser with my passwords 2️⃣ when you background a tab with agent (which is really amazing they built that) it gets tripped up in content blockers 3️⃣ websites like The New York Times somehow blocked using atlas to summarizing content. CNN and others work just fine 4️⃣ it’s so native to MacOS and is integrated with auto-filling iMessage 2fa codes which is super sick. chrome doesn’t even do this 5️⃣ the agent is very human like (example: dismissed modals by clicking out from them). maybe it’s not intentional and got lucky? not sure 6️⃣ i love the ui and onboarding is super slick. very clever use of full-screen usage on my mac. the animations are fucking amazing. watch the video for 15 minutes of my raw thoughts and first look

CNN and others work just fine 4️⃣ it’s so native to MacOS and is integrated with auto-filling iMessage 2fa codes which is super sick. chrome doesn’t even do this 5️⃣ the agent is very human like (example: dismissed modals by clicking out from them). maybe it’s not intentional and got lucky? not sure 6️⃣ i love the ui and onboarding is super slick. very clever use of full-screen usage on my mac. the animations are fucking amazing. watch the video for 15 minutes of my raw thoughts and first look
