I built a fully playable 3D platformer game in exactly 3 days, using almost entirely AI-generated assets. To test whether AI can really replace the asset grind, I came up with a steampunk cat universe from scratch and brought it straight into Unreal Engine 5. Here is how it was done, step by step: 👇 🎨 World and prop concepting 🧩 Tripo 3.1 for low-poly smart meshes and PBR textures 🩹 Blender for geometry cleanup and AO baking 🦴 AccuRIG for character animation 🚀 UE5 for level design and blueprints The craziest part is that AI handled the routine, and I still had the creative energy to make the level actually fun. Gemini for Android is here! This new app makes it easier to access Google's chatbot, powered by the Gemini Pro LLM, right from your Android device. You can ask Gemini a question by tapping the launcher icon or long-pressing the power button. Once invoked, the Gemini overlay lets you enter a text or text+image prompt. You can tap the camera icon to snap a photo or press the "add this screen" button to take a screenshot of the current page to include in your prompt. The Gemini app for Android is available on Google Play with support for English, but support for Korean and Japanese will be coming next week. While there won't be an app for iOS, iPhone users can access Gemini by opening the Google App and tapping the "Gemini" button up top. How can you long-press the power button to invoke Gemini if that gesture is handled by Google Assistant? The answer is that the Gemini Android app can replace Google Assistant as your default assistant if you want, meaning all the ways you'd normally invoke Google Assistant on your phone can instead invoke Gemini. Unfortunately, Gemini currently doesn't offer ALL the same functionality as Google Assistant and requires an active data connection, but more features will be added over time. Microsoft did it again! Speech AI models have a major limitation. They slice long recordings into tiny chunks, lose track of who's speaking, and forget all context halfway through. This is exactly what Microsoft's VibeVoice solves. It's an open-source family of frontier voice AI models for both speech recognition and speech generation. Here's what it can do: > VibeVoice-ASR processes up to 60 minutes of audio in a single pass. No chunking. It outputs structured transcriptions with who spoke, when they spoke, and what they said. > You can feed it custom hotwords like names, technical jargon, or domain-specific terms. The model uses them to significantly improve accuracy on specialized content. > VibeVoice-TTS generates up to 90 minutes of multi-speaker speech with up to 4 distinct speakers. Natural turn-taking, emotional expression, all in one pass. > VibeVoice-Realtime is a 0.5B streaming TTS model with ~300ms first-audio latency. Small enough to deploy practically anywhere. All of this is powered by continuous speech tokenizers running at just 7.5 Hz. This ultra-low frame rate preserves audio quality while making long sequences computationally feasible. Today we are launching Openwork is now Accomplish, an open-source (MIT-licensed) computer-use agent that’s fast, cheap, and more secure. Openwork is now Accomplish is the result of a short two-day hackathon our team decided to hack, which brings together some of our favorite open source AI modules into one powerful agent, to allow you to: 1. Bring your own model/API key (any provider and model supported by OpenCode is supported by Openwork) 2. ~4x faster than Claude for Chrome/Cowork, and much more token-efficient, powered by dev-browser by Sawyer Hood (legend) 3. More secure - contrary to Claude for Chrom/Cowork, does not leverage the main browser instance where you are logged into all services already. You login only to the services you need. This significantly reduces the risk of data loss in case of prompt injections, to which computer-use agents are highly exposed. 4. Free and 100% open-source!
