@claudeai This is the kind of build that makes Claude Code hooks underrated. Most people use them for linting. You turned them into a physical UI. What's the latency like between state change and the lamp?

@claudeai Thanks! I use it daily now, it’s really helpful. Latency is sub second, the BLE interface is very rapid, the only slowness I noticed is in hooks getting triggered

@claudeai love the physical feedback idea. i lose track of whether my agent is waiting on me or still working all the time. a simple light is such an obvious solve, surprised nobody did this sooner

@claudeai I built something similar for small LEDs that you can plug into USB on your laptop so you can have a visual alert/status while on the go!

this is such a satisfying hardware hack. the visual feedback loop for coding agents is an underrated UX problem because right now you are either staring at a terminal or constantly alt-tabbing to check if it needs input. a physical light that changes color based on agent state is way more ambient and less distracting than screen notifications. the BLE hook integration is clean too. would love to see someone extend this to show different colors for running tests vs waiting for approval vs actively editing files
