One is to be given the challenges given by Sonam against the detention orders. Secondly, the application filed by us should be amended so that we can challenge the grounds of detention. The next hearing will be on 29th October."

Dear Lagosians, here is an important update on our metro line. Starting Monday, October 16, 2023, we're increasing train trips on the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line from 12 to 54, with plans for 74 trips by the end of November. To make this transition, we'll need to shut down train services on Saturday, October 14 after the morning peak service and for the entire day on Sunday, October 15, for the switch to electricity. This momentary pause is to ensure that your safety is our top priority. I can assure you that suspending passenger operations is a global practice to effect major changes. This switch to electricity will help us introduce more trips and help us serve more passengers safely. I'm proud to say that we launched the first phase of the LRMT Blue Line on September 4, 2023 and we have moved over 80,000 passengers. Our goal is to surpass 150,000 daily passengers between Marina and Mile 2 in the coming months. The future of Lagos trains is bright, and I'm committed to improving your commuting experience. VIDEO | Bhubaneswar: Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey reacts to Team India jersey controversy and says, "The World Cup is set to begin on August 15th in the Netherlands and Belgium. For many years, Team India has been playing in a blue jersey. This time, the primary kit color was changed to orange, while the secondary color remained white. We received feedback and suggestions from our players, coaches, and support staff pointing out that the turf itself is blue. Technically, since the turf is blue and the players' jerseys are also blue, they were facing slight visibility issues on the field. That is when they suggested two alternative colors, yellow and orange. Looking at the three colors of the Indian national flag, we already have white as our secondary jersey color. That left us with orange and it was chosen. This decision was taken based on the input of our players, coaches, and support staff, purely to improve technical visibility on the ground. I believe this should not be politicised or dragged into unnecessary controversy. From a purely technical standpoint, the opinion of the players and support staff was completely justified. And it is not set in stone, if the players do not feel comfortable with it, we can always change it in the future.
