Starting Monday, October 16, 2023, we're increasing train trips on the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line from 12 to 54, with plans for 74 trips by the end of November. To make this transition, we'll need to shut down train services on Saturday, October 14 after the morning peak service and for the entire day on Sunday, October 15, for the switch to electricity. This momentary pause is to ensure that your safety is our top priority. I can assure you that suspending passenger operations is a global practice to effect major changes. This switch to electricity will help us introduce more trips and help us serve more passengers safely. I'm proud to say that we launched the first phase of the LRMT Blue Line on September 4, 2023 and we have moved over 80,000 passengers. Our goal is to surpass 150,000 daily passengers between Marina and Mile 2 in the coming months. The future of Lagos trains is bright, and I'm committed to improving your commuting experience. For many years, Team India has been playing in a blue jersey. This time, the primary kit color was changed to orange, while the secondary color remained white. We received feedback and suggestions from our players, coaches, and support staff pointing out that the turf itself is blue. Technically, since the turf is blue and the players' jerseys are also blue, they were facing slight visibility issues on the field. That is when they suggested two alternative colors, yellow and orange. Looking at the three colors of the Indian national flag, we already have white as our secondary jersey color. That left us with orange and it was chosen. This decision was taken based on the input of our players, coaches, and support staff, purely to improve technical visibility on the ground. I believe this should not be politicised or dragged into unnecessary controversy. From a purely technical standpoint, the opinion of the players and support staff was completely justified. And it is not set in stone, if the players do not feel comfortable with it, we can always change it in the future. In November 2025, the number of Russian air attacks on Ukraine’s Black Sea ports nearly doubled compared to October. According to the Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies: Based on monitoring conducted from January to November 2025, the Russian armed forces carried out at least 152 missile and drone attacks of various types on the ports of Velyka Odesa, ports in southern Odesa region, and the region’s energy and industrial infrastructure. These included: 29 attacks in November, 16 in October, and 11 in September. Recorded among them: • At least 38 missile attacks of various types (November - 3; October - 2; September - 3); • At least 114 attacks using drones and decoy drones such as Shahed-136/131, Geran/Gerbera, etc. (November - 27; October - 13; September - 8); • At least 46 Iskander ballistic and cruise missiles were used (November - 3; October - 3; September - 6). November saw a sharp increase not only in the number of drone attacks, but also in the number of drones deployed in each strike. The number of attacks in November doubled compared to October (from 13 to 27). Double strikes within a single day (night-day, morning-evening, etc.) became systematic: nine days recorded two attacks in 24 hours, and one day recorded three. There were individual attacks involving more than 30, and in some cases over 40 drones. Thus, it can be estimated that in November alone, Russian forces used at least 300 drones in attacks on Odesa region. In total, no fewer than 1,200 drones of various types were used against the region from January to November 2025. From January to November 2025, 15 attacks on vessels in Odesa-region ports were recorded, damaging 28 vessels (27 civilian, 1 naval). Civilian fatalities were reported, and port infrastructure was damaged. Vessels damaged: • November - 11 (6 ships, 3 barges, 2 pontoons); • October - 3; • September - 0; • August - 5 (including 1 naval vessel); • July - 5; • June - 0.
