doing the same thing on 😉

cyber grid is very cool!

took your sequin wave shader and combined it with an ascii cathedral. this happened:

wild!

Yoo this is sick really like this one -

ty! good ol' matrix shader but spiced up a bit :)

Github repo:

Looks awesome!! thinking about maybe adding into a new project of mine as an option, launching officially next month..

very cool! do it!

Will do👍

here is mine :D

wow, gorgeous!

I love yours.

Looks fantastic :O I actually made a very similar topography effect for my upcoming project recently. Your library page is stalling my browser for 10 seconds and I'm running a RTX 3070. Plenty of people with "weaker" computers. You could probably optimize. Thanks for sharing

yikes 😱 I'll take a look.. I've optimized it to run only a single row of shaders, but on large resolutions it will collapse. I have an idea how to improve it, but means they'll only run on hover in the preview state. Probably acceptable.

did a whole lot of loading optimizations - see if it works better now?

Still laggy and my screen freezes sometimes for a second or 2. Definitely better than before where it would just freeze for 10 secs or more. Check out how @davidhaz did it on his library reactbits. Gonna need some trade off most likely.

@davidhaz interesting, he does videos on hover - that makes it much easier on the browser for sure. Might have to resort to that as well. Glad things don't completely freeze for you now, at least.. Also - embarrassed to say I wasn't aware of reactbits, awesome library as well!

@Jim_Faster Making 130+ videos was definitely time consuming 💀 Your library looks sick btw!

@Jim_Faster thanks much! and I can imagine 😅

Zero dependencies and MIT license is the dream combo. Half the time you want a cool effect on your site you end up installing 15 packages and debugging for 3 hours. This just solves that. Bookmarked.

you're welcome!

Crazy stuff, it's stunning neon drip is basically my favourite

thank you, and yes, neon drip is neat! looks quite nice in rose as well

Stunning!

@zehdefreitas thank you!

Incredible works 🔥 Thank for sharing this!

I need this blackhole! How did you make it?

that one was very challenging tbh. I'm documenting it in an article later today, but the highlights: - researched a bunch on shadertoy. found some cool implementations, but obviously didn't want to copy - had claude attempt some copies of other shaders to fill it's "inspiration buffer" - then, threw reference implementations away (they all weren't practical anyway, way too heavy/slow), and gave Claude reference imagery of 'real' event horizons - then, started to discuss the physics of Kerr vs Schwarzschild with Claude. Made sure it understood the physics and visual implications deeply. - from here, had Claude attempt an initial implementation with fully realistic Schwarzschild physics, then layered Kerr physics (spin etc) on top - new implementation came out ~60% (amazing!), very slow (5fps), lots of artifacts. - now, started the "carving" process: step by step, iterate with Opus using Chrome browser automation to get every layer and accent fine-tuned - then, do the same with performance optimizations to get it to render at 60fps (*cough* on my macbook, at least..) - finally - add some fun: interactivity, controls etc.! We're still pretty far away from AI being able to one-shot stuff like this - that makes it extra fun ;)

wow looks amazing!

very nice! thanks for sharing

👍

hey! only i get to have an accretion disk on my website

:D love your mouseover effect!

oh! thank you 🙏 i need to get it to work on mobile now 😵💫

Outstanding value. I'm on windows with a 4090, website is lagging a bit, could be one effect in the preview hogging compute perhaps? Huge Thanks!

@jaredatjared working on fixing!

Wow!

GJ Paul! Super slick and trippy 🤩

Rad! Some super nice effects 😊

thank you!

Thats the most beautiful thing that i have seen on the web. But my browser crashed :))

@igoralentyev123 😅 sorry about that. I'll make it a bit easier to browse...

Sick!

Thanks for making it. This is amazing.

I'm freaking loving loving these @pbakaus !!!!!

❤️

beautiful 🤩

@SeanMombo

Holy crap this gallery is insane

🙏

Dude, these are absolutely sick. Wow.

means a lot coming from a (fellow) game dev! thank you!

Wow. Love them, especially the rain on glass

Oh thank you @pbakaus !! Internet is full of people putting video in the background and i have been trying (unsuccessfully) to create some using Webgl and threejs. Thanks a ton.

nice

Stunning! 🤩

@weill thx!

Absolutely stunning work. These shader effects are incredible. I'd love to understand your creative process a bit more. How do you come up with these ideas, and where do you usually draw inspiration from? Also, how do you approach turning a concept into something this polished and visually striking?

thank you! good timing - I'm going to post a longer article tomorrow that goes deep into my motivation behind Radiant, and how I built it. It was really challenging, even with the help of Claude Code. Really pushed it to its limits.

A bit delayed, but here it is:

Amazing work! Thank you

How do you come up with this stuff man. Been a fan since impeccable style. Absolutely bonkers work.

just getting started 💪

nice work!👍

thank you!
