Everyone's sleeping on image-to-3D AI models. They can make your app look incredibly unique, with just a little effort. Here's how. This is my calorie tracker, built in a week with nothing but prompting. Just Claude Code + a couple APIs. The visuals are all AI-generated. I'll be sharing the full workflow + all the crazy technical stuff Claude and I did to make this work, so nobody has to struggle through it like me. Deep dive coming soon! Till then, this is the high-level idea: 1. Get a clean image of the food (or whatever your asset is) - In my app, the user describes foods via text, or attaches images (or both) - If text, an LLM extracts the food description and formats it into a specific prompt I tuned for this design, and we generate an image using Z-Image Turbo through fal - If image, we do the same thing but with FLUX.2 [dev] to edit the user image into our reference design - Originally, both used Google Nano Banana, but switching to open models cut costs and latency a ton 2. Gaussian splatting (2D image → 3D model) - I tried various 2D-to-3D options on fal and ended up with TripoSplat as my preferred balance of speed, cost, latency; this turns an image into a 3D model that looks super high quality (link below) - The app displays the 2D image while our backend generates the 3D splat - We "groom" the splat to reduce size and load time by culling low-opacity/scale points 3. Render efficiently on device Originally, it looked great but ran at 10 FPS. Getting to 120 FPS was a crazy journey. TL;DR: - SwiftUI had to go; it forced us to render each asset in independent MTKViews, which wasn't workable - Instead, we composite every dish into one full-bleed CAMetalLayer using MetalSplatter (link below) - We had to make some optimizations within MetalSplatter's code too, to reduce the overhead of sorting points per render Then I added some finishing touches like the subtle rotation and parallax as they move around. I think it turned out pretty cool :) Overall, this took some effort, but we still got it done in less than a day. Hopefully your agent can follow in the footsteps of mine and do it much faster. WOW v14.3.2 is very decisive and is able to execute with great confidence. Big fan. That said, in my first drive it messed up *spectacularly* twice in <15 miles of suburban driving. In one instance, it swerved out of its through lane of traffic into a lane that was ending, right as it was ending. It was not trying to overtake any vehicles, it just swerved over violently. ugh The other, in the video below, it did not consider that the left lane was turn-only, and tried to use it overtake other vehicles while their light was red. (this intersection begins with left turn green and through-lanes red) It is still very slow to merge into the proper lane in time for a turn, and ended up cutting off a large truck to make its turn. Could it have completed its maneuvers and continued without intervention? Yes. Would it be safe or legal to do so? No. Plenty of work left to do on FSD.

I just dropped myself into a Taylor Swift-style music video without writing a single prompt, timeline, or storyboard. I uploaded one photo and the song. That's it. If you want to understand how far AI-assisted game development has moved in less than a year, IsoCity is one of the best examples. The original version took roughly 40–50 hours with Cursor Composer + cloud agents. Its assets were AI-generated, while the game itself grew into a surprisingly deep city simulation with traffic, pedestrians, trains, planes, zoning, resource management, saving, and mobile support. Under the hood: → Next.js 16 → TypeScript → Native HTML5 Canvas rendering → No external game engine → Custom isometric renderer and simulation systems And the best part: the whole project is open source under MIT, so you can study it, fork it, modify it, or use parts of the architecture in your own experiments. Pest Control “secret” for those small annoying flies that bug you while watching tv (feel free to repost since we’re moving into bug season in many areas): As we move into late spring/early summer months in US, many people like to leave doors open. Sometimes you’ll get an influx of small flies. There are 3 main species of flies that buzz around your head while sitting on the couch. The fruit fly, the phorid fly and the fungus gnat. If you see a small fly just “sitting” on your wall or a few small flies hanging out on the wall near your garbage can, it could be the fruit fly. I won’t go into boring details of how to tell various species apart, but will share one trick that can help reduce their population. First, keep your doors shut as much as possible. They gain entry usually that way, then find a source to breed in. To help reduce the breeding adults, 1) Grab a clear bowl or glass and place some red wine (or a few pieces of banana) in the glass. 2) Put some clear Saran Wrap or cling wrap on top fairly tight. 3) Next grab a pencil or pen and poke 4-6 holes in the wrap. This will allow the aroma of the fruit or wine to be strong as it comes out of the glass and will attract the flies 4) The flies will be immediately attracted to the bowl/cup and make their way into the holes you poked. Once in, they’ll drink the wine, or feed on the bananas and can’t get out. I prefer wine since they get drunk and drown. Bananas won’t kill them. Wine will. 5) Discard every 7 days and repeat. The best approach is to find the source of their breeding. Garbage disposal? (Bleach doesn’t work by the way) Garbage can? Debris under refrigerator? Also, re the fungus gnat species. This will not work. They feed on fungus, generally from overwatered potted plants inside or doors left open near extremely damp exterior area. One other method that is highly effective are the small plug in light traps. A combination of the above along with a plug in light trap will keep most fly issues at bay.

This guy built a visual scanner that reads 468 points on his face and 42 points on his hands from a regular webcam and turns them into a cloud of thousands of particles right between his palms. Inside, MediaPipe and TouchDesigner are linked: the first captures hands and face from the webcam with high accuracy, the second turns those coordinates into a live plane and feeds it into a POP system that instantly generates a swarm of particles in the shape of a head. No studio, no render farmer, no VR headset. Just a laptop, a webcam, and 1 TouchDesigner session. And traditional VJ studios keep teams of 5 people on a setup with lighting, custom hardware, and commercial plugins, while his expenses are only a TouchDesigner subscription and a regular USB camera. One laptop runs MediaPipe and TouchDesigner simultaneously, holds the camera stream at 60 FPS without drops, and in parallel processes 468 face points + 21 points on each hand. The camera captures frame after frame, MediaPipe in real time sends TouchDesigner the finger coordinates and face geometry, and the POP operator inside the engine translates those numbers into thousands of particle points with colors from bright pink to gold. This setup immediately defines the role of the tool and the limits of its autonomy. It knows where the fingertips are at every moment of the frame. It knows how to read the face geometry at any angle to the camera. It knows how to draw a swarm of particles between them with the right color and contour. → MediaPipe pulls 468 points from the face and 21 points from each hand, 60 times per second → TouchDesigner receives those coordinates, builds a virtual rectangle between the fingertips, and feeds it into the POP system → POP generates thousands of particle points in the shape of a head, coloring them in a gradient from bright pink to gold → The HUD layer adds green corners and a blue neon frame, styling the image like an AR interface → All layers assemble into 1 real-time frame that projects back onto the video in the camera window → The final image is recorded to a file or broadcast to a projector for a live installation And only when the guy spreads his hands wider does the plane between the palms stretch; brings them together, it narrows. Otherwise the system runs on its own. And when he moves from his home room to a concert hall, the same laptop with the same webcam launches the same TouchDesigner session in just 5 minutes, without reconfiguration, without a new team, and without a single line of new code. In his work setup there is no studio of his own and no team for assembly. On the desk sits a laptop with a webcam, on top run MediaPipe and TouchDesigner with POP operators, and the same setup through a USB camera moves to any concert without a new configuration. Out of everything I have seen this year, this is the cleanest Creative Coding setup on 1 laptop: 0 render farms, 0 studio lighting, and between them 3 libraries, thousands of particle points, and 1 webcam.

Daphne, fleeing the god Apollo, has begged to be saved, and at the instant he catches her she begins to turn into a laurel tree. Bernini carved the exact second it happens, and the change starts at her hands: her raised fingers are sprouting laurel leaves, so thin that in bright light they turn faintly translucent, the way a real leaf glows when you hold it up to the sun. Dear General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, this is an Urgent Caution on Individuals Hiding Atrocities, Diplomatic Irregularities, and Unexplained Wealth While Pretending to Support Your Mission I write as a concerned citizen and an Nrm cadre raising serious alarm about certain individuals who publicly claim to support your leadership and Operation Maliza Ufisadi, yet actively conceal or enable grave atrocities, abuse of office, and questionable conduct that harms ordinary Ugandans and genuine NRM Party supporters. One prominent example is Hon. John Mulimba, the outgoing State Minister for Foreign Affairs (Regional Cooperation) and MP. During the January 2026 election campaigns, a Uganda Peoples' Defence Forces (UPDF) soldier attached to his convoy allegedly shot and killed 23-year-old Aaron Mukisa a dedicated Nrm youth mobiliser wearing a yellow NRM T-shirt in Namungodi Town Council on January 7, 2026. Eyewitnesses state that Mukisa was singled out, brutally beaten, and executed at close range while pleading for his life. Other supporters were injured with sticks, stones, and bayonets on orders of a One Mulimba . This incident turned parts of the constituency into “no-go zones” and has left many true NRM members feeling betrayed by leaders who claim loyalty to you while committing or enabling such violence against fellow Museveni mobilisers. Also while serving as Minister, Mulimba has faced repeated accusations of serious diplomatic irregularities, especially concerning Ugandans in countries like Turkey etc which need to be investigated. Many families report problems with passports and visas, with some vulnerable citizens allegedly being facilitated or sent abroad under his influence into exploitative situations, including forced sex work or labour, causing immense suffering and hardship back home. Locally, Mulimba’s lavish lifestyle has been a major source of criticism for years. He owns Jogo FM radio station and is known for driving high-end “monster” pickup trucks and living far beyond the means of an ordinary MP or minister’s salary. Residents openly question how his wealth matches his official income, fuelling long-standing perceptions of corruption and neglect of constituency needs. These actions by people who pretend to champion your anti-corruption and reform agenda while allegedly enabling violence, exploitation of Ugandans abroad, and living on unexplained wealth severely undermine public trust, damage the UPDF’s reputation, and weaken the NRM from within. I therefore humbly ask you to: • Immediately order a full, independent investigation into the killing of Aaron Mukisa and all election-related abuses involving politicians’ security details. • Direct a thorough probe into diplomatic operations under Mulimba’s former portfolio, particularly passport and visa irregularities and reported cases of Ugandan exploitation in Turkey and other missions. • Extend whistleblower protections to cover electoral violence, abuse of office, and lifestyle audits for public officials. • Exercise strong caution with individuals who loudly align with your vision yet have a track record of hiding atrocities or amassing wealth that does not match their known earnings. The people of Samia Bugwe North and many other concerned Ugandans stand ready to support your efforts in cleaning up such elements so that justice, discipline, and true patriotism can prevail.
